Heuristic Exploring and Learning: We provide opportunities for children to engage in open-ended play and exploration, allowing them to make discoveries and learn through hands-on experiences.

Team

Our dedicated team includes two trained SENCOs and an Early Years teacher, all of whom are passionate about supporting every child’s unique needs. Many of our staff have been at our preschool for many years, building strong bonds with families and always going above and beyond to ensure each child is valued and supported.

Parent Partnership

At our nursery, we value strong partnerships with our families. We use our nursery app to keep families updated and connected. Our lending library allows parents to borrow and exchange books, fostering a love of reading at home. We also host regular events including parents’ evenings, sports days, play and stay sessions, and special celebrations like Christmas, Mother’s Day, and graduation ceremonies, creating memorable moments for our families and children.

Garden

Our garden is thoughtfully designed and sectioned into two areas to cater to the different needs of our children. One side is dedicated to babies and toddlers, while the other is for preschool and older toddlers, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all ages.

The garden leads directly to our enchanting forest area, enriching outdoor play with natural exploration. Equipped with a mud kitchen and a variety of outdoor resources, our garden encourages imaginative play and hands-on learning. Children have access to climbing areas and physical equipment, promoting active play and physical development, preparing them for their next steps in school and beyond.

Activities

Our preschool children enjoy a full day of engaging activities designed to support their development. Our educational programmes nurture essential life skills, while Boogie Mites brings music into their world, encouraging creativity and movement. We also offer multi-sports and yoga, helping children stay active and enhance their coordination—all while having fun with friends!

Outdoor play is a cherished part of our daily routine, where children love exploring nature. They enjoy picking up little acorns and conkers, marvelling at the wonders around them, and observing slugs and birds, cultivating a sense of curiosity and appreciation for the environment. This hands-on experience enhances their learning and helps them connect with the natural world in a fun and engaging way.

Community Outings

We love getting out and about in the community! We regularly take the children on fun local trips to the nearby park and shops, helping them explore and learn in a real-world setting. We also enjoy visits to places like Whiteley, where they can discover new sights and experiences. These outings are a wonderful way for the children to connect with their surroundings and enjoy adventures with their friends.
