Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Whiteley is a warm and welcoming nursery on Gull Coppice, right next to the primary school. We care for children aged 0 to 5 years, Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 6:30pm, creating a friendly environment where children can feel at home and enjoy their day.
We’re a short walk from Swanwick Train Station and close to the M27, making us convenient for families travelling from Park Gate, Beacon Bottom, Fareham and nearby areas. Parking is available directly outside, although our road operates as a one-way system.
Emotional well-being has its own space here. Our mindfulness area gives children somewhere to pause and reset, our calming reception area softens the arrival into the day, and our large sensory room is well loved for the way it supports development in a fun, stimulating environment. Free-flow access to the garden means fresh air is always an option.
We work closely with families to support each child’s development. Parents receive regular updates through our GrandirUK app, including photos, routines and progress information, and families are invited to Stay and Play sessions, Open Days, seasonal events and parent evenings. Our lending library and our guidance on toilet training, transitions and starting school help at home too.
Children in Whiteley enjoy Boogie Mites, yoga, sports, language groups, helicopter stories, tennis sessions and loose-parts play. We also make the most of our community links on Gull Coppice, taking nature walks and visiting Humble Heights Care Home through our work with Embracing Age Hampshire, which helps children connect with people well beyond the nursery.
Our purpose-built nursery in Whiteley has eight well-designed rooms, each filled with natural light and high-quality resources, and all following a sea-animal theme.
Children move between rooms based on readiness, so the process stays supportive and child-led. Alongside the playrooms we have a calming reception area, a mindfulness space that supports emotional wellbeing, and a large sensory room that is a firm favourite across the nursery.
Our language-rich environment uses a range of strategies and resources to support communication, and safeguarding features are built into the design of the building.
Outdoor space
Our large garden includes a mud kitchen, cosy spaces and a pergola for shaded play, with free-flow access from the rooms so children can come and go.
Our woodland area is where exploration and imagination really take off, giving children space to test their physical skills, grow plants as part of our educational programmes and spend proper time outdoors.
Stability is what parents in Whiteley notice first. Long-serving colleagues offer real consistency for children and families, and their knowledge, warmth and commitment create a safe, supportive environment where children can settle and get on with growing.
Our rich early years curriculum supports communication, creativity, physical development and an early understanding of the world. Children learn through play, discovery and hands-on experiences, and our bespoke education programmes help them develop independence, curiosity and the confidence they need for school.
We believe children should grow up understanding they share the world with others. As an Eco-School in Whiteley, our Eco-Council gives children a genuine voice in decisions about caring for the planet, and our woodland area is where that starts feeling real. Sitting next to the primary school keeps the wider community close too.
Eight sea-themed rooms in Whiteley mean siblings each have a space made for their stage, from Clam through to Whale. Free-flow garden access means brothers and sisters still meet outdoors, and one stop on Gull Coppice covers both. Sibling places depend on what we have free, and we will always tell you honestly where we stand.
