Our brands

Our story began in 1998 with the formation of The Childcare Corporation, beginning more than 25 years of providing childcare and early years education.

Over the years that followed, the organisation grew and developed, building the foundations of the nursery network we know today.

An important new chapter began in 2017, when Kiddi Caru Nurseries and Magic Nurseries were acquired by Grandir.

The name Grandir comes from the French verb meaning “to grow” – an idea that continues to be central to who we are. For us, growth is about helping children learn and develop, giving our people opportunities to grow and continually developing the care and early years education we provide.

From 2018, further nurseries joined the organisation across England, each bringing its own history, identity and connection to its local community.

As the network grew, we continued to recognise that no two nurseries are exactly the same. Their teams, environments, educational approaches and communities all help shape the individual experience they provide.

That individuality remains an important part of GrandirUK today.

In 2022, GrandirUK was introduced as the overarching UK brand, creating a stronger connection across the organisation while established nursery brands continued to retain their individual identities.

GrandirUK brought our nurseries together through a shared commitment to high-quality childcare and early years education, while maintaining the local identities that families and communities already knew.

Today, our brand has evolved again.
