Set within the Watercolour housing development at 1 The Kilns, Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Redhill is a warm and welcoming place for children aged 0 to 5 years. We’re open Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 6:30pm, with natural light, cosy corners and a team who take the time to get to know every family.
The Moors Nature Reserve is right on our doorstep and Redhill station is just a ten-minute drive away, making us convenient for local and commuting families.
Children settle when a place feels calm and comfortable. Our Redhill rooms have air conditioning, underfloor heating and natural light, our chef prepares nutritious lunches and healthy snacks in the on-site kitchen, and our sensory room gives any child who feels overwhelmed a quiet retreat to relax in.
Families stay close to nursery life through our GrandirUK app, with daily updates on progress, routines and upcoming events. We host stay and play sessions, seasonal celebrations, sports days and graduation parties through the year, and our parent coffee station and lending library are there whenever you want to linger a while.
There is always something extra happening at Kiddi Caru Redhill. Children take part in PE sessions with ProTots, Make and Bake, yoga, Boogie Mites, Mini Mites, parachute play and Forest School. Beyond the gates, they visit the local pond, call in on our partner care home, pick up cooking ingredients from Tesco and head out on adventures with the Kiddi Caru wagon.
Our Redhill nursery has four playrooms, each shaped around a different age group and each with its own outdoor space. High-quality resources, natural light and cosy corners run through all of them.
Children move into the next room when they are emotionally, socially and physically ready, never simply because of a birthday. We also have a sensory room used across the nursery for quiet, soothing time.
Outdoor space
We have four dedicated gardens, each suited to a different age group. Mud kitchens, water play, natural materials and imaginative spaces give children room for physical play and real nature exploration whatever the season.
The growing garden beside the Swans room is a particular favourite, where children plant, water and harvest, then take pride in watching their greenery thrive. Our fully equipped kitchen is run by our chef, whose ingredients sometimes come straight from that garden.
We are also part of the neighbourhood beyond the fence, partnered with The Watercolour Community Space and the local charity Stripey Stork to support families across the area.
Good childcare starts with the small practical things done properly. Our chef caters for dietary needs using a clear traffic light system, we support weaning at each family’s pace, and up to age one we provide formula, nappies, wipes and nappy cream at no extra cost.
Our curriculum is rooted in the Early Years Foundation Stage and delivered through play, exploration and curiosity. Inspired by the Curiosity Approach and shaped by In-the-Moment planning, it moves at each child’s pace, covering early literacy, language and outdoor learning as they grow ready for school.
We believe children learn most when they are the ones asking the questions. The Curiosity Approach and In-the-Moment planning shape each day at our Redhill nursery, so an interest sparked at the Moors Nature Reserve or in the growing garden can become the whole morning’s learning. Children here build confidence by following what genuinely fascinates them.
Two children, one drop-off on The Kilns: that alone makes a Redhill morning easier. Brothers and sisters here are usually in different rooms with their own gardens, but they still cross paths on outings and at nursery events, and one team knows the whole family. Subject to availability, we will do what we can to find places for both.
Kiddi Caru Redhill is led by our Nursery Manager Tara, alongside practitioners and nursery assistants who bring real knowledge and warmth to each day. Our skilled SENCo team works closely with families so children with additional needs get tailored support, and we invest in continuous professional development for every colleague.
