You will find us within walking distance of West Drayton station, with Elizabeth line connections making the nursery convenient for families commuting by train. We are also around a ten-minute drive from Uxbridge town centre.
Inside, our bright, purpose-built nursery has spacious rooms with plenty of room for children to move, play and explore.
Wellbeing at West Drayton is part of everyday nursery life, from mealtimes to movement. Mealtimes are relaxed and encouraging, giving children opportunities to explore new flavours and textures while developing growing independence and skills such as using cutlery. Cosmic Yoga and Superstar Sports bring different types of movement into the week, with opportunities to stretch, balance, move and be active.
We work in partnership with families throughout their child’s time with us. Through the GrandirUK App, families can view photos, follow their child’s progress and keep up with their experiences and achievements at nursery.
Our termly Stay and Play sessions give families another opportunity to be part of nursery life, spending time in the setting with their child and getting to know the team and their experiences at nursery.
Superstar Sports, Cosmic Yoga and arts and crafts are regular activities at West Drayton, alongside our five education programmes: Make and Bake, Sow and Grow, Innovate and Investigate, Move and Groove, and Health and Self. Together, they give children opportunities to be active, get creative, investigate new ideas and enjoy practical, hands-on experiences.
Children also regularly head out on foot to explore the local community, with visits to nearby parks, the library, post office, shops, train station and canal. These outings give children opportunities to become familiar with their local area and experience everyday places beyond the nursery.
West Drayton is a purpose-built nursery with large, open playrooms and plenty of natural light. Each space is thoughtfully arranged with resources suited to the age and stage of the children using it, and our playrooms take their names from trees.
Maple: Our second toddler room, with opportunities to make choices and develop growing independence.
Willow: Our preschool room, with experiences that support children as they prepare for school.
Children move through the rooms as they grow, with our team and families working together to plan each transition around the individual child and help make the change feel familiar and gradual.
Our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) works with children, families and the wider nursery team to understand individual needs and provide appropriate support.
Outdoor space
Our spacious outdoor area is divided into dedicated zones, giving children different spaces and experiences to explore. Games, sand and water play and bike riding provide plenty of opportunities to move, investigate and play together.
Time outdoors is a regular part of nursery life, giving children opportunities for physical play, exploration, teamwork and problem-solving in a different environment.
Continuity of care is an important part of life at West Drayton. Familiar practitioners get to know each child’s routines, interests and individual needs, helping to build consistent, trusting relationships throughout their time at nursery.
Our in-house chef prepares fresh food each day, catering for individual dietary requirements and giving children opportunities to explore a varied, nutritious diet from an early age.
Our education programmes at West Drayton support children’s learning and development from their earliest years through to preschool. Pathway to the Foundations supports children under two with experiences designed to encourage curiosity, growing independence and important early skills.
From the age of two, Foundations for the Future builds on these experiences, giving children opportunities to develop their confidence, independence and skills as they progress through the Early Years and prepare for school.
We believe children need space to move, explore and find something that captures their interest. Our purpose-built West Drayton nursery has large, open rooms and a zoned outdoor area, giving children plenty of opportunities to move between different experiences throughout the day.
Whether they are building, growing, riding bikes or investigating, children are encouraged to get involved, make choices and try things for themselves. These practical, hands-on experiences give them opportunities to develop their curiosity, independence and growing confidence.
For families with more than one child, having siblings at West Drayton means one journey to Admiralty Close for drop-off and pick-up. Our four tree-themed rooms are all within the same purpose-built nursery, so brothers and sisters can each enjoy a space suited to their own age and stage while still having opportunities to spend time together in the large garden.
Sibling places are subject to availability, but where we have space in the appropriate room, we will always do what we can to find places for brothers and sisters together.
Led by Nursery Manager Kealey, our experienced practitioners provide familiar faces and consistent relationships throughout children’s time at West Drayton. The team take time to get to know each child as an individual, supporting their learning, development and wellbeing as they grow.
