Welcome to First Place Beaconsfield, a GrandirUK Day Nursery conveniently located on Minerva Way within Wilton Park, Buckinghamshire. We are open Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, with Nursery Manager Nicky and our team welcoming families to the nursery.
With Beaconsfield railway station within easy reach, our nursery is well placed for families living or working locally, including those commuting by train.
Our location within Wilton Park also places green spaces close to the nursery, giving children regular opportunities to spend time outdoors and explore their local surroundings.
Children’s wellbeing is considered throughout the nursery day at First Place Beaconsfield. Balanced meals and nutritious snacks form part of children’s daily routines, alongside regular opportunities for movement, outdoor play and exploration in our garden.
Indoors, cosy reading areas and quieter spaces provide a change of pace, giving children opportunities to enjoy stories, quieter activities and time away from busier play.
Working closely with families is an important part of our approach. Through the GrandirUK App, families receive daily updates including photos, activities, meals, learning experiences and progress, helping them stay connected with their child’s nursery day.
We also welcome families into the nursery through events and meetings throughout the year, providing further opportunities to spend time with the team, share information and become involved in nursery life.
Children at First Place Beaconsfield enjoy a varied mix of activities and experiences, including creative art, imaginative and sensory play, discovery activities and language games.
Toddlers have opportunities to make choices, explore through hands-on experiences and become increasingly independent as they grow and develop.
For preschool children, purposeful activities provide opportunities to develop and practise a range of skills as they prepare for their transition to school.
Learning also extends beyond the nursery, with outings to nearby parks, walks around the local area and regular visits to Wilton Park giving children opportunities to explore their surroundings and experience their local Beaconsfield community.
Our nursery on Minerva Way has bright and welcoming playrooms thoughtfully designed around children’s different ages and stages. From our baby room through to preschool, each environment provides a varied range of age-appropriate resources and experiences for play, exploration and learning.
Our baby room provides opportunities for sensory exploration and early play within a welcoming environment. As children grow, toddler and preschool spaces introduce further opportunities for creativity, imaginative play and shared experiences, with our preschool environment supporting children as they prepare for their transition to school.
Nutritious meals and snacks are served throughout the nursery day, with balanced menus including a varied range of fresh vegetables. Cosy reading areas also provide dedicated spaces for books, stories and quieter experiences, giving children opportunities to enjoy language, listening and sharing stories together.
Outdoor space
Our nursery garden provides plenty of opportunities for outdoor exploration and active play. Children have space to move, investigate the natural environment and enjoy a variety of physical and imaginative experiences outdoors.
Quality of care at First Place Beaconsfield starts with getting to know each child as an individual. Our team creates a warm and welcoming environment where children have opportunities to express themselves, explore their interests and make choices throughout their nursery day.
Care and learning are considered together, from experiences within our early years curriculum and outings into the local community to nutritious meals that include a varied range of fresh vegetables.
Through play, exploration and everyday experiences, children are supported as they discover more about their surroundings, interact with others and become increasingly independent within their nursery environment.
Our curriculum at First Place Beaconsfield follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), supporting children’s learning and development across the different areas of the Early Years curriculum.
Our GrandirUK education programmes, including Make & Bake, Move & Groove and Innovate & Investigate, complement the curriculum with a varied range of hands-on experiences.
Through these programmes, children have opportunities to communicate, create, investigate, solve problems and enjoy active learning, while developing their knowledge and skills as they grow.
At First Place Beaconsfield, we recognise that children grow and develop at their own pace, with their individual interests, needs and stages of development helping to shape their nursery experience.
Our team creates a warm and welcoming environment where children have time and space to explore, follow their interests and become absorbed in their play and learning, with practitioners nearby to support and introduce new opportunities.
For families with more than one child, having siblings at First Place Beaconsfield means one drop-off and pick-up at our nursery, while each child can enjoy the room, experiences and friendships suited to their own age and stage.
From babies through to preschool, children are based within the same nursery environment, with opportunities for brothers and sisters to see each other and share parts of nursery life, including time in our garden.
Sibling places are subject to availability, but where we have space in the appropriate room, we will always look at the options for welcoming brothers and sisters together.
Led by Nursery Manager Nicky, our experienced First Place Beaconsfield team brings a range of early years knowledge and experience to the nursery.
Our practitioners take time to get to know each child as an individual, building positive and consistent relationships with children and their families throughout their nursery experience.
By understanding children’s routines, interests and individual needs, the team can provide thoughtful support and create opportunities for children to make choices, explore their interests and become increasingly independent as they grow.
