Curriculum

Our curriculum combines various approaches including the Curiosity Approach and Hygge, combined with our unique education programmes, creating a nurturing, calm and cosy environment where children from babies to preschool are encouraged to explore, discover, and learn through play. Our focus on childcare means each child is nurtured and supported to develop in their own unique way. This blended approach allows children to grow their skills, confidence, and curiosity, fostering a strong foundation for future learning and development.

Team

At our nursery, we take pride in our diverse and happy team, which includes a dedicated on-site SENCO who is passionate about supporting all children. Our multicultural staff brings a wealth of experiences and perspectives, creating an inclusive environment where every family feels valued. Each room is staffed with caring educators who are committed to encouraging children’s growth and development, helping them take their next steps in learning. We’re currently engaged in sun safety initiatives and actively participating in Eco School programs, further enhancing our nurturing environment.

Parent Partnership

We truly cherish our partnerships with our families at our Milton Keynes nursery, making every family feel at home in our nursery. With our nursery app, we share daily updates and special milestones, keeping you connected to your child’s daily life and development.

Our lending library offers wonderful resources for reading at home, sparking a shared love for books. To ensure a smooth start, we provide a warm first-day welcome pack, and our open-door policy invites you to be part of our vibrant nursery life. Our friendly staff provide the support you need, with ‘Stay and Play’ sessions for some rooms, creating a caring bond that strengthens our nursery community.

Facilities

Our nursery is equipped with five spacious playrooms designed to support each child’s growth and learning journey. We have an on-site kitchen where fresh, nutritious meals are prepared daily, and a welcoming family room to host family meetings and community events. Our facilities are thoughtfully planned to create a nurturing and engaging environment for every child in our care.

Playrooms

At our day nursery in Milton Keynes, we offer a nurturing and supportive environment across all our classes, our rooms are designed to cater to the unique needs of every child. 

Ladybirds: Our youngest children in our baby room thrive, the baby room is a space where they each receive individualised attention from our caring staff. This key person approach nurtures strong bonds and helps promote each child’s wellbeing.

Hedgehogs: In the Hedgehogs room, toddlers enjoy a vibrant and engaging atmosphere, with plenty of opportunities to explore and play. Our staff provides a variety of enriching activities that support their development and self-esteem.

Squirrels: The Squirrels room offers a stimulating environment where children can enhance their learning through play. We focus on building their confidence and encouraging independence as they prepare for the next stage of their journey.

Butterflies: As children transition into the Butterflies room which is our mini preschool room, they benefit from a carefully structured curriculum that promotes social skills and emotional growth. Our staff provides a range of play areas that inspire creativity and curiosity.

Preschool: In our preschool room, our preschool children engage in activities that lay the groundwork for their future learning. Here, we emphasise school readiness while ensuring that each child’s well-being is prioritised.

We believe in transitioning children based on their individual abilities rather than their age. Our commitment to nurturing every child’s unique journey makes us a special place for their early years of life!

Garden

Our gardens are thoughtfully designed to support each stage of a child’s growth! We have three distinct garden areas, each tailored to a different age group, an astro turf area for our babies to safely play and explore, a dedicated side strip filled with engaging resources for our toddlers, and a spacious, newly refreshed main garden for our older children. The main garden features a large mud kitchen, a natural area, and a variety of interactive activities, giving children plenty of opportunities to play, learn, and enjoy nature.

Activities

Our nursery activities are filled with fun, creativity, and hands-on learning! We offer Boogie Mites for music and movement, Sing and Sign to support early communication, Make and Bake for budding chefs, and Sow and Grow, where little ones can nurture plants and learn about nature. During each activity children are encouraged to explore new skills and build confidence, all while having a fantastic time!

Community Outings

Our community outings are all about building confidence and having fun! We enjoy local walks around the area, where children can explore and learn about their surroundings. One of our cherished relationships is with the local care home, where we brighten the residents’ days by bringing them delicious cakes and lovely drawings from the children. These visits not only foster connections within our community but also encourage our children to share joy and kindness with others. It’s a wonderful way for them to learn the value of giving back while having a great time!
