Welcome to Kiddi Caru Walnut Tree, a warm and welcoming nursery in Milton Keynes where children are encouraged to explore, learn, and thrive. Our purpose built nursery has been beautifully rebuilt to create a modern, spacious, homely environment that supports children’s development from babies to preschool.

Families value our nurturing environment, knowledgeable staff, and the way we work closely with parents to support every child’s progress.

Our location

Our nursery is conveniently positioned behind the local shops in Walnut Tree, with excellent access to the M1, A5, bus routes, and main train lines. Families appreciate the smooth drop‑off experience, nearby amenities, and the welcoming environment we create from the moment they arrive.

About Our Nursery

Our curriculum

Our curriculum blends the Curiosity Approach, Hygge principles, and our unique educational programmes to create a calm, cosy, and inspiring learning environment. Children explore natural resources, follow their interests, and learn through play, helping them develop confidence, independence, and essential early years skills.

We nurture social skills, communication, physical development, and early literacy, giving children strong foundations for preschool, primary school, and future learning.

Our team

Our diverse and welcoming team brings a wealth of experience to our nursery. With a dedicated on‑site SENCO and a multicultural staff group, we create an inclusive environment where every family feels valued and supported. Our practitioners are passionate about encouraging children’s growth, helping them develop new skills, and celebrating their achievements.

Each room is led by caring educators who understand the importance of the key person approach, helping children build self‑esteem, confidence, and trusting relationships. We are proud of our team’s commitment to creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe, happy, and ready to learn.

Parent partnerships

We truly value our partnerships with families. Our nursery offers families daily updates via our Grandir UK app, where we share daily updates, photos, and milestones, helping parents stay connected to their child’s day. Our lending library encourages reading at home, and our warm first‑day welcome pack helps families settle in with confidence.

We also host stay and play sessions, open days, community events, and celebrations throughout the year, creating a strong sense of family and belonging within our nursery community.

Our facilities

Our nursery is thoughtfully designed on one level, making it easy for children to move freely and confidently between spaces. We have five spacious playrooms, three beautiful gardens, and an on‑site kitchen where our chef prepares fresh, nutritious meals daily to support a balanced diet and healthy development.

Playrooms

Our rooms are designed to meet the needs of each age group, supporting children’s development at every stage. In Ladybirds, our Ladybirds baby room offers a calm, homely environment where babies receive individualised care and build strong bonds with their key person. As children grow, the Hedgehogs toddler room provides a vibrant space filled with opportunities for exploration, play, and early independence. The Squirrels room offers a stimulating environment where children learn through play, build confidence, and develop new skills, while the Butterflies mini preschool room supports social skills, emotional development, and early learning. Finally, our Preschool room prepares pre school children for primary school with purposeful activities that strengthen communication, problem‑solving, and school readiness. Transitions between rooms are based on each child’s readiness, ensuring a smooth, supportive journey throughout their early years.

Garden

We have three beautifully designed garden areas tailored to different age groups. Babies enjoy a safe astro‑turf space, toddlers have a dedicated side garden with engaging resources, and older children explore our large main garden with free flow access to a mud kitchen, natural play areas, and plenty of opportunities for outdoor play and physical development.

Activities

Children enjoy a wide range of daily activities including Boogie Mites, Sing and Sign, Make and Bake, and Sow and Grow. These experiences help children learn new skills, build confidence, and explore their interests in fun, hands‑on ways.

Community outings

We love exploring the local community. Children enjoy walks around Walnut Tree, visits to nearby green spaces, and regular trips to our partner care home, where they share drawings, cakes, and joyful moments with residents. These experiences help children learn about the world, build social confidence, and develop empathy.
