Little Monkeys Day Nursery Horsham, provides high-quality Early Years care for children aged 3 months to 5 years, in a nurturing and inspiring environment, complete with light, bright, and airy rooms that offer plenty of space for play and learning. We are committed to providing the best possible care for your child, supporting them as they develop, grow, and thrive.

We are proud that our latest Ofsted inspection recognised Little Monkeys Nursery as meeting all expected standards, with particular strengths highlighted in behaviour, attitudes and establishing routines, and in Leadership and Management. Read more in our Ofsted Report.

Our location

We are conveniently located on London Road, opposite Swan Walk Car Park, with The Rec Car Park just behind us. The nearest train station is Horsham, making us easily accessible for commuting parents. Situated next to Horsham Park, our nursery benefits from nearby spaces for discovery, including a duck pond, sensory garden, and children’s play area.

About our nursery in Horsham

Curriculum

We embrace the Curiosity Approach, focusing on child-led, interest-based learning that happens in the moment. We also follow our bespoke Educational Programmes, Pathways to Foundations and Foundations to the Future, ensuring each child’s journey is thoughtfully guided and enriched. We have achieved a distinction in Eco Schools, reflecting our commitment to sustainability and environmental awareness, and helping children develop a lifelong respect for the world around them.

Team

Our highly qualified and experienced management team has been with the nursery for nearly 15 years, including a qualified teacher and an early years teacher. Together, they lead our dedicated staff who are committed to providing outstanding care and education for every child. Our team includes designated safeguarding leads, Mental Health First Aiders, and SENCOs, ensuring that we can support children’s diverse needs in a safe and nurturing environment.

Parent Partnership

We value strong partnerships with families and keep parents connected through regular nursery app updates. Our lending library and Stay and Play sessions encourage family involvement, while special events throughout the year help build a strong sense of community. We also hold parents’ evenings twice a year to discuss each child’s progress and development.

Playrooms

Children move between rooms based on their individual development and readiness, ensuring they receive the right support at every stage. Our bright and airy rooms include Bush Babies for babies from 3 months, Cheeky Chimps for younger toddlers, Groovy Gorillas for older toddlers and preschool children, and Amazing Apes, our preschool class for children turning 4 before September. Set across two neighbouring buildings, our nursery provides a safe, stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

Outdoor Space

Our wonderful outdoor area provides a safe and secure space for children to explore, play, and learn. Featuring soft AstroTurf and a range of exciting play equipment, our cosy garden encourages active play, imagination, and outdoor discovery throughout the year.

Activities

We offer a variety of exciting activities to inspire and educate our children. ProTots visits weekly for our preschool children, providing fun and enriching experiences. We explore creativity through art and baking, and our singing sessions bring joy to learning. A highlight of our year is the annual hatching of chicks during Easter, allowing the children to learn about life cycles first hand. Through these activities, we create the perfect setting to inspire curiosity and a love for learning.

Community Outings

Located near Horsham Park and the Town Centre, we take full advantage of our central position by organising daily walks for the children.. These regular outings allow the children to explore local places creating amazing community relationships. Trips to the library and Jasmine Court are highlights of our schedule, providing enriching experiences that enhance their learning and help them connect with the world around them. Our outings not only promote physical activity but also encourage curiosity and social interaction among the children.
