Welcome to DayDream Day Nursery at Hillersdon on Horsell Rise, in a peaceful residential area on the outskirts of Horsell, Woking. We are open Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm.
Local bus routes run nearby and Woking train station is within easy reach, making the nursery well placed for families commuting to and from the area.
Surrounded by green spaces, our recently refurbished nursery has bright, welcoming rooms and a garden with plenty of opportunities for children to play, explore and spend time outdoors.
Wellbeing at DayDream is supported by nutritious food, relaxed mealtimes and plenty of opportunities to spend time outdoors. Our nursery chef prepares fresh, nutritious meals each day in our specially designed kitchen, while social mealtimes give children opportunities to develop independence and positive eating routines alongside their friends.
Outdoor play is also part of everyday nursery life, giving children regular opportunities for fresh air, movement and exploration in our garden.
We keep families closely involved through the GrandirUK App, sharing updates on each child’s activities, meals, learning and development. Stay-and-play sessions, our lending library and family events give families more opportunities to take part in nursery life and help create a strong sense of community around DayDream.
Children at DayDream enjoy creative play, sensory experiences and Boogie Mites sessions, with activities shaped around their interests and what captures their curiosity.
Walks and outings into the local area and nearby green spaces give children regular opportunities to explore beyond the nursery, experience the natural world and become more familiar with their local community.
Our Woking nursery has recently been converted from a family home into a day nursery and preschool, creating a homely environment with newly refurbished rooms, features and resources throughout.
Our well-resourced spaces are designed around different stages of development, including a welcoming baby room for our youngest children. Each area gives children opportunities to explore, create and learn, and children move into their next room when they are developmentally and emotionally ready rather than simply reaching a particular age.
All our meals are freshly prepared on site by our nursery chef in a specially designed kitchen, providing children with nutritious meals throughout their nursery day.
Outdoor space
Our large, enclosed garden has also been recently refurbished, creating plenty of space for outdoor play and activities. Children can explore the mud kitchen or make the most of the open space for active play, movement and discovery.
Time outdoors is part of everyday nursery life, giving children regular opportunities for fresh air, physical activity and exploration rather than being reserved for a particular part of the day.
Good childcare starts with knowing each child. At DayDream, we work closely with families to understand each child’s individual needs, routines and interests, helping them feel secure and supported as they settle into nursery.
That close relationship continues throughout their time with us, allowing our team to adapt their care and support as each child grows and develops.
Our early years approach at DayDream uses in-the-moment planning, responding to children’s interests and giving them opportunities to learn through play. Everyday experiences support communication, creativity and physical development while allowing children to explore what captures their curiosity.
Activities and experiences are shaped around each child’s stage of development, giving them time to learn at their own pace and growing opportunities to make choices and develop independence.
We believe the best plan is often the one a child gives us. At our Woking nursery, we use in-the-moment planning, responding to what captures children’s interest and building learning opportunities around their curiosity.
Surrounded by green spaces on the edge of Horsell, children have plenty of opportunities to explore and learn at their own pace, developing confidence as they make choices, try new things and follow their interests.
Having siblings at our Woking nursery can make nursery life simpler for families, with one drop-off on Horsell Rise. As the nursery was originally a family home, children of different ages remain close by, giving siblings opportunities to see each other during the day, whether in the garden or as they move around the nursery.
Sibling places are subject to availability, but where we have space, our team will always explore the options with families.
Nursery Manager Lisa leads DayDream alongside a qualified team of Early Years professionals. The team work closely together to provide consistent care and learning, helping children build familiar, trusting relationships throughout their time at nursery.
Our team also has experience supporting children with additional needs, working with families to understand and respond to each child’s individual needs. Every child has a key person who gets to know them well and supports their learning, development and wellbeing.
