Fresh, nutritious food and time outdoors are an important part of everyday nursery life at Dundonald Road. Our on-site chef prepares meals in the nursery, while relaxed, sociable mealtimes give children opportunities to talk, serve themselves and develop independence at the table.
Families can keep up with their child’s progress, daily routines and learning experiences through the GrandirUK App. We also hold parent evenings and events throughout the year, creating regular opportunities for families and our team to spend time together and talk about how their child is getting on.
Clear, open communication is an important part of how we work with families, helping them stay connected with their child’s nursery day.
Children at Dundonald Road enjoy a varied mix of experiences, from PE sessions in Dundonald Park and Boogie Mites to Forest School and our Health and Self, Make and Bake, Innovate and Investigate, Move and Groove and Sow and Grow programmes in the Foundations room.
Regular walks and outings around Wimbledon give children opportunities to explore their local community, experience familiar places in different ways and develop confidence and independence beyond the nursery.
Our nursery on Dundonald Road has an open-plan layout, creating a cosy, connected environment where children can become familiar with the wider nursery team. Dedicated spaces are designed around each age group, from a calm and nurturing baby room through to toddler environments and our preschool learning spaces.
Children move into their next room when they are developmentally and emotionally ready, rather than simply reaching a particular age. This gives each child time to feel comfortable and confident before taking their next step.
