Kiddi Caru Day Nursery, Market Harborough

Wellbeing at Market Harborough starts with a calm, predictable day. From breakfast to snacks to tea, every meal is prepared by our on-site chef using fresh, wholesome ingredients that follow our food and nutrition guidelines, and shelters over the gardens mean children get outdoors in all weathers.

We keep communication with families open and transparent. Our GrandirUK App gives regular updates on routines, activities and your child’s development, and we host monthly stay-and-play sessions, breakfast clubs, parents’ evenings, Christmas fayres and open days. Our lending library encourages reading at home, and our team are always available for a conversation at the door or by email.

Children in Market Harborough enjoy Sing and Sign, Mini Mites, Boogie Mites, yoga, P.E. sessions, Make and Bake and Sow and Grow through the week, supporting communication, physical development and creativity. We also bring the community into the nursery, welcoming visitors including firefighters, nurses, doctors and dentists to help children understand health, safety and the world around them.

We have five newly refurbished playrooms, each designed for a different age group and developmental stage. Every room includes natural resources, engaging activities and access to its own garden space, thoughtfully resourced for that age group, so children can enjoy outdoor play all year round.

• Bluebells: A cosy space for babies with access to their own garden.
• Daffodils: A large toddler room with free-flow access to the garden.
• Poppies: A spacious toddler room with free flow to the main garden.
• Daisies: A bright room for older toddlers, supporting independence and creativity.
• Sunflowers: Our preschool room for school leavers, with a large open space for learning and preparation for school.

Moves between rooms are based on each child’s readiness, with practitioners working closely with parents so every transition feels smooth and well supported.

Outdoor space

Our large outdoor area is designed to support learning, exploration and physical development. Children enjoy a fixed climbing frame and slide, a mud kitchen, a sheltered sand area and an investigation garden for preschoolers.

Shelters mean the gardens can be used through the year, and the spaces are maintained carefully to encourage creativity, problem-solving and a love of the outdoors.

We also offer flexible sessions so families can build a pattern of days that genuinely works for them.

The standard of care here shows in the strong relationships between our practitioners and the families they work with. Children from birth to preschool age are looked after by colleagues who know them well, and the happy, confident children in our rooms are the measure we care about most.

Our curriculum blends the Hygge and Curiosity approaches, creating calm spaces where children follow their interests. Alongside this we deliver our bespoke education programmes: Sow and Grow, Make and Bake, Health and Self, Innovate and Investigate, and Move and Groove.

We believe children do their best learning when they feel calm enough to be curious. Our Market Harborough rooms follow the Hygge and Curiosity approaches, which means soft light, natural materials and no rush. Each of our five playrooms opens onto its own garden, so a child who wants to be outside simply goes.

Two children, one drop-off at Bowden Business Village. Because each of our five rooms has its own garden, siblings often end up outside together, while still having a space that is properly theirs. Subject to the places we have free, we will do our best to fit both children in.

The longstanding, passionate team at Kiddi Caru Market Harborough is led by Emily. Our practitioners are highly qualified and include a Level 6 Early Years educator in the preschool room and a qualified SENDCo who works closely with families to make sure every child gets the support they need.
