Kiddi Caru Day Nursery, Bedford

Wellbeing at our Bedford nursery is supported by fresh air, good food and calm surroundings. Our dedicated on-site chef prepares healthy meals and runs regular cooking experiences with the children, including themed foods and snacks for festivals and seasonal events, which makes trying something new feel like part of the fun.

Strong partnerships with parents keep families fully involved in their child’s development. Through regular updates, meetings and our nursery app, we share activities, milestones and progress, so you always know how your child’s day has gone and what they are working on next.

Children at our Bedford nursery take part in a wide range of activities planned around their development and their enjoyment, from creative and hands-on sessions indoors to daily time in the garden.

Cooking experiences with our chef are a firm favourite, and every activity is there to build confidence and key Early Years skills.

Our Bedford nursery offers modern, well-resourced spaces designed around each stage of development, with every room kept calm and engaging so that children can concentrate on what interests them.

Children move through the rooms based on their development and readiness rather than their age alone, and each space is set up to encourage independence and confidence as they go.

Outdoor space

Our large garden is a big part of the day here, with designated learning areas that cover all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage. Children can get stuck into the large mud kitchen, spend quieter time in the well-being garden, and help grow herbs and vegetables in our growing space.

Time outdoors supports physical development, confidence and well-being, and gives children a reason to notice how things change through the year.

We also have on-site parking, an on-site chef, and flexible sessions where we can, so that the practical side of nursery works around your family.

High-quality childcare in Bedford means care that is consistent and genuinely welcoming. We keep our environment supportive and predictable so that children feel valued, and we work with families so that the care a child receives here reflects what they need at home too.

Our curriculum supports children’s learning through play, exploration and structured activities, with experiences chosen to build communication, creativity and independence. Children progress at their own pace at our Bedford nursery, building the confidence and strong foundation that carries them into school.

We believe confidence is built, not taught. Learning at our Bedford nursery happens through play, exploration and activities children choose for themselves, in rooms designed to feel calm rather than busy. Children here become communicative, creative and independent because they are given the room to try.

One stop on Holme Street with on-site parking makes a real difference when you have two children to settle in the morning. Brothers and sisters at our Bedford nursery share the same large garden and the same team, even in different rooms. Where availability allows, we will do our best to keep families together.

Kiddi Caru Bedford is home to an experienced team who stay close to the children they care for, with Kelsie as our Nursery Manager. Our team build relationships with every child that help them to feel secure, confident and supported, and our qualified SENCo makes sure that support is inclusive of everyone.
