Welcome to Pippa’s House Day Nursery, on the Christy Estate off Ivy Road in the heart of Aldershot. We are open Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm.
Close to Belle Vue Road, local bus routes and Aldershot station, the nursery is conveniently located for families in Aldershot and the surrounding areas, including Ash Vale, Fleet and Guildford. Inside, our small rooms give the team more opportunities to get to know each child and provide personal attention throughout the nursery day.
Wellbeing is supported in different ways throughout the nursery day. Our sensory room gives children a dedicated space to step away from busier activities and enjoy a change of pace, while cosy reading areas provide comfortable places to settle with a book or share a story. Nutritious meals are another important part of the daily routine.
Strong partnerships with families are important too. By sharing information and working together, our team can better understand each child’s individual needs and provide consistency between home and nursery.
Through the GrandirUK App, families receive regular updates about their child’s day, learning and play, helping them stay connected with nursery life. Our team are also available to talk through questions, changes or anything families would like to discuss.
Our splat room is a dedicated space for painting and messy play, giving children plenty of opportunities to get creative and explore different materials. Children can also enjoy Boogie Mites music and movement sessions, crafts, creative arts, Spanish lessons and our loose parts classroom.
Regular outings extend these experiences beyond the nursery, with visits to local parks, nearby schools and other places around Aldershot helping children become more familiar with their local community.
Our nursery is arranged into small classrooms for different ages and stages, each thoughtfully designed around the needs and interests of the children who spend their time there. Cosy reading areas are part of the environment throughout the nursery, providing comfortable spaces for books, stories and quieter moments.
Alongside the main playrooms, our splat room provides a dedicated space for painting and messy play, while the loose parts classroom offers open-ended materials for children to explore, combine and build with. Our sensory room gives children another dedicated space to step away from busier activities and enjoy a change of pace.
Outdoor space
Our large garden gives children plenty of room for active play and exploration, with creative resources, sand and water providing different opportunities to investigate, create and play outdoors.
We also have a smaller courtyard with bikes, blocks, spades and buckets, offering another space for movement, imaginative play and exploration. Across both outdoor areas, children have opportunities to develop their physical skills, try out their ideas and follow their curiosity through play.
Small classroom groups give our team more opportunities to get to know each child and provide personal attention throughout the day.
By spending focused time with children, the team can respond to their individual needs and cues, whether that means offering a different activity, providing reassurance or simply spending some quiet time together.
Our curriculum follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and draws on the Curiosity Approach, giving children opportunities to explore, play and follow their interests at their own pace.
Through hands-on experiences and open-ended play, children can develop their independence, confidence and early skills, building strong foundations for school and future learning.
Curiosity shapes how children learn at Pippa’s House Aldershot. Our approach gives children time to explore real materials, authentic objects and loose parts, discovering different ways to use, combine and investigate them through play.
Our small rooms give the team plenty of opportunities to notice what captures each child’s interest and build on those moments, encouraging them to ask questions, make discoveries and explore their ideas further.
For families with more than one child, having siblings at the same nursery means one drop-off and pick-up, while each child can enjoy a classroom suited to their own age and stage.
Our small classrooms are close together, with shared spaces including the courtyard, reading areas and splat room giving brothers and sisters opportunities to see each other and share parts of their nursery day.
Sibling places are subject to availability, but where we have space in the appropriate room, we will always look at the options for welcoming brothers and sisters together.
Led by Nursery Manager Holly, our team at Pippa’s House Aldershot take time to get to know each child and understand their individual needs, interests and development.
The team have experience supporting children with special educational needs, adapting activities, environments and routines around the individual child. By working closely with families and external professionals where appropriate, they can provide joined-up support throughout each child’s nursery experience.
