Welcome to College Town Day Nursery, in the heart of College Town, Sandhurst. We welcome children from 0 to 5 years, Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm.
Our nursery is close to Sandhurst Memorial Park and nearby nature reserves, bringing plenty of green space to the local area. Blackwater and Sandhurst stations are both within easy reach, helping make drop-offs and pick-ups more convenient around the working day.
Wellbeing at College Town starts with the everyday. Nutritious meals are served each day at relaxed, social mealtimes, giving children opportunities to develop independence and positive eating habits. Yoga sessions offer another way for children to slow down, move their bodies and become more aware of how they feel.
Strong relationships with families are an important part of nursery life. The GrandirUK App keeps families connected with their child’s day, including their learning, meals and activities. We also talk regularly with families about each child’s development and how we can support them both at nursery and at home.
Children at College Town enjoy a varied range of experiences throughout the week, including Montessori learning, French lessons, yoga and creative activities. Our Sow and Grow and Make and Bake sessions give children hands-on opportunities to explore growing, food and cooking in the garden and kitchen.
Children also regularly venture beyond the nursery on walks to Sandhurst Memorial Park and other nearby outdoor spaces, giving them opportunities to explore their local community, experience the natural world and build confidence outside the nursery.
Our playrooms at College Town are designed to support children through each stage of their Early Years development, from babies through to preschool. Each space encourages exploration, creativity and independent learning, with resources children can reach and choose for themselves.
Children move between rooms when they are developmentally and emotionally ready, rather than simply reaching a particular age. This helps make the transition feel more familiar and comfortable for each child.
In our preschool room, there is a growing focus on independence, early literacy, numeracy and the skills and confidence children will draw on as they prepare for school.
Outdoor space
Our garden is an important part of everyday nursery life, giving children space to play, learn and explore outdoors. Bikes and scooters provide opportunities to develop physical skills and confidence, while planting activities and our mud kitchen encourage hands-on exploration of the natural world.
Through our Sow and Grow sessions, children can take part in the growing process from planting seeds through to harvest, helping them discover where food comes from and experience how plants change and grow over time.
Children at College Town are valued as individuals, with care and support shaped around their needs. We work closely with families on routines, transitions and behaviour, helping to create consistency between nursery and home.
By sharing what works for each child, families and our nursery team can support them together, helping children feel secure, understood and confident as they grow.
Our Early Years curriculum at College Town takes a Montessori-inspired approach, with a carefully planned environment that gives children opportunities to explore, make choices and develop at their own pace.
Children are encouraged to follow their interests while developing communication, problem-solving and social skills through play and everyday experiences. Enrichment activities, including Sow and Grow and Make and Bake, provide further opportunities for hands-on learning.
We believe children should be trusted and encouraged to do things for themselves. Our Montessori-inspired approach at College Town gives children a carefully prepared environment where they can make choices, follow their interests and work at their own pace.
Independence grows through everyday achievements: choosing an activity, seeing it through and putting it away ready for the next child. These small moments give children opportunities to develop confidence, responsibility and pride in what they can do.
Having brothers and sisters at College Town can make the journey to nursery simpler for families, with one stop on College Road. Our rooms are close together and children share the same garden, giving siblings opportunities to see each other during the day while still enjoying experiences designed for their own age and stage.
Sibling places are subject to availability, but where we have space, our team will do their best to accommodate brothers and sisters at the nursery.
College Town Day Nursery is led by Nursery Manager Kerri and a qualified team with a strong focus on Early Years education. Our Montessori learning is supported by a qualified Montessori lead, bringing specialist knowledge and experience to the nursery.
Team members with specialist experience also work closely with children who have additional needs, helping to provide individual care and support shaped around each child.
