Welcome to our DayDream Nursery, Woking

Our nursery in Woking can be found in a large, three-story family house which has been specially converted into a friendly, happy, safe and stimulating environment. We have a spacious, enclosed back garden designed for a variety of engaging outdoor learning activities.

We are proud that DayDream Day Nursery and Preschool in Woking has received a ‘Good’ rating across all areas of criteria in their last Ofsted inspection, highlighting the high-quality care and education we provide.

Newly Refurbished Nursery: Our nursery has recently been refurbished from a family home to a day nursery and preschool, providing the best, up to date features and resources for your child.

Well-Resourced Playrooms: We include the highest quality resources within our setting to ensure that your child is getting the very best Early Years education and will flourish in our care.

Large Recently Refurbished Garden: Our beautifully refurbished garden is a spacious, enclosed area where children can enjoy outdoor activities and free play. Regular time in the fresh air and active play supports children’s development, making our garden an essential part of their daily experiences.

Chef In-House: All our healthy and tasty meals are made fresh by our nursery chef in our specially designed kitchen. You can be sure that your little one is getting the right food and nutrients while they are in our care.

Highly Qualified Staff: We are proud to have a team of highly qualified Nursery Practitioners and staff members. Our team members are friendly, supportive and instil a lifelong love of learning in each and every child.

Location

Our picturesque DayDream Day Nursery and Preschool is situated in a lovely and safe residential area on the outskirts of Horsell Village in Woking, Surrey. Conveniently located near the Woking train station and with bus stops at the end of our road, we are a great option for families commuting to work or home.

About our Woking Day Nursery

Curriculum

At our nursery in Woking, we prioritise In The Moment Planning and follow the basics of the Curiosity Approach in a stimulating environment. We find this method of learning helps children develop their own individual interests which motivates them to learn and help reach their full potential.

We also incorporate our unique Education Programmes which include Make and Bake, Sow and Grow, Move and Groove, Innovate and Investigate and Health and Self,

With children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), we work openly with parents and are supported by the Surrey Early Years SEND team for additional support.

Team

We are proud to have a wonderful team who are dedicated to creating an enriching environment for our children each and every day. Our team is made up of a talented Nursery Manager, a SENCO lead, a highly skilled on-site chef, highly-qualified Nursery Practitioners, and many other staff members. We are even excited to share that we have one member in the process of becoming a qualified Forest School teacher!

Parent Partnership

Our nursery app provides regular updates, keeping you informed about your child’s activities, progress, and daily experiences, and also keeps you updated on the latest news and events.

As a part of our offering, we have many resources available to our families. We have a lending library which encourages children to continue reading at home, we offer stay and play sessions for families to take part in nursey activities, facilitate a family focus group for families to share feedback. We also host social events throughout the year, bringing families and staff together to build connections and strengthen our community.

Facilities

Our nursery in Woking provides a welcoming, nurturing environment for babies and children from 3 months to preschool age.

Playrooms

Our nursery is made up of four main playrooms based on our children’s different ages and abilities. The room’s age groups are changeable throughout the year and are tailored to the group of children at the time. Children love to participate in activities such as loose parts play, using natural resources and more!

Garden

Our newly refurbished garden is a spacious, enclosed area that provides a safe and secure environment for outdoor learning, which is an integral part of our daily activities.

The garden features a mud kitchen, where children can engage in messy play, sparking creativity and exploration.

Our Forest School staff member leads inspiring Forest School sessions, utilising the garden’s large wooded area to encourage hands-on learning and an appreciation for nature.

Activities

At our nursery, we arrange bespoke activities based on the children’s interest which every child enjoys. Our Boogie Mites sessions allow children to sing and dance along to their favourite songs, and we often hold sport sessions in our garden to keep the children active and having fun.

Daydream is a wonderful nursery. I have two children currently attending 4 days a week. Both my girls love going to nursery and have thrived so much since starting there. All staff are so caring and attentive, they really know each child as individuals which is great. They are always happy to help with anything. We get great updates daily from the rooms they are in and monthly observations too. Management staff keep us well updated on upcoming events and meetings such as parents' evenings or summer parties! I wouldn't send my children anywhere else.

My daughter has only been attending one day a week since May. It's taken her a while to settle in but with the support of the staff they've eased her in and she's now much happier there and thriving. She has also had a few health issues recently and again the staff have been really responsive, empathic and supportive which has been really helpful too.
