Our Curriculum

The curriculum at our Wimbledon Nursery contains a blend of child and adult-led learning. With an emphasis on holistic development, children are invited to explore their vibrant surroundings and engage in meaningful play. Our bespoke education programmes aim to empower, encourage, inspire and nurture all children to build positive life skills, important knowledge and a life-long love of learning across all areas.

Facilities

Our bright, spacious nursery has dedicated rooms for babies, toddlers and preschool children. It includes two expansive outdoor spaces where children enjoy fresh-air fun and exercise. At Dicky Birds, we are dedicated to creating an welcoming environment where every child can reach their full potential

Playrooms

Our littlest learners begin their early learning journey in our baby room Ducklings. This warm, home-from-home environment is a cosy space with a dedicated reading nook and stimulating resources that promote exploration. As the next step, our Sparrows room encourages younger toddler’s growing independence and helps to build on their communication skills. Our Owls room on the middle floor provides a balanced environment for growth with a focus on self-regulation and physical development. Woodpeckers, our preschool room, is a vibrant space, encouraging creativity, imagination and independence as children prepare for the exciting transition to school.

Garden

Our nursery has two wonderful gardens for different age groups which encourage physical activity and support learning and discovery. Younger children enjoy age-appropriate equipment, while older children explore climbing structures, our mud kitchen and bug hotel. We also have a growing garden where children help plant and care for vegetables, learning about healthy eating and balanced meals.
