Curriculum

We embrace a blend of methodologies, including the Hygge Approach and Loose Parts Play, to create a rich, fun and engaging learning environment. By following children’s natural interests, we nurture their creativity and exploration whilst improving their cognitive, physical, social and emotional development through hands-on activities.

Team

Our preschool is proud to be home to a large, dedicated team. With a wealth of experience, our professional, knowledgeable staff are truly passionate about fostering children’s learning, catering to individual needs and providing the very best quality care. Among our team are Early Years Teachers and practitioners with qualifications at levels 3 and 5, all dedicated to creating a supportive, enabling atmosphere where every child can thrive.

With additional team members holding qualifications in Special Educational Needs at levels 3 and 4, we are equipped to support children’s diverse needs and help them thrive in a nurturing environment.

Parent Partnership

We’re committed to building amazing parent partnerships that truly support each child’s development and enrich family life. Through our nursery app, families stay updated with real time info and monthly tips, helping them feel involved every step of the way. Our Lending Library extends learning into the home, while our open-door policy and regular stay-and-play sessions create a warm, welcoming environment. Together, we’re enabling children to shine as the little stars they are at our school club, making their nursery journey a memorable start in life.

Facilities

Our amazing childcare facilities are thoughtfully designed to be both secure and welcoming. Each room has intercom-controlled access, ensuring safety while keeping our spaces open and inviting.

Playrooms

On the ground floor, you’ll find our Bumblebees and Ladybird rooms, along with a sensory room and direct access to our outdoor play areas. Upstairs, our Willow, Orchid, Hedgehog, and Mallard rooms create engaging environments for older children, with the kitchen and balcony play area nearby.

Garden

The garden is filled with wonderful resources designed to spark curiosity and creativity; from a pirate ship for adventurous play to a climbing wall and a painted road for imaginative journeys. We also have a dedicated mud pit for hands-on, sensory fun, a growing garden where children learn about food from soil to plate, and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen.

Activities

Our nursery activities are designed to make learning fun and active for every child. With Boogie Mites, children move to the rhythm and explore music, enhancing coordination and listening skills in an energetic, joyful way. Yoga sessions provide moments of calm and concentration, helping children learn relaxation techniques, build strength, and improve balance—all essential for growing bodies and minds. Through Sing and Sign, children explore early language and communication, learning to express themselves and build connections. Together, these activities create a well-rounded foundation that nurtures each child’s development in an engaging and supportive environment.

Community Outings

As part of our mission to provide enriching experiences in Early Years, we plan regular outings that bring learning to life for our nursery and preschool children. Our local parks are a favourite spot, offering plenty of space for play. The nearby shops add to the adventure, giving children opportunities to learn about their community. We’re also within reach of a beautiful nature spot and an exciting train museum, making our childcare experience diverse and engaging.
