Welcome to our Kiddi Caru Day Nursery and Preschool in Peterborough

Ashley
Kiddi Caru Nursery Peterborough is a warm and welcoming nursery families trust for high‑quality childcare. Our setting offers a nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore. With a dedicated, friendly team and a strong focus on early years development, we create a space where children thrive and grow with confidence.
Families value our homely atmosphere, caring staff, and the way we bring learning to life through play, curiosity, and meaningful experiences. We are proud of our positive Ofsted rating, which reflects our commitment to providing the very best quality care for babies, toddlers, and preschool children.
Our location
Our nursery is conveniently located in the heart of the Sugar Way estate, close to the city centre and opposite Lidl. We are on a main bus route and only 10–15 minutes from the train station and Woodston Primary School, making us an ideal choice for families commuting across Peterborough.
About Our Nursery
Our curriculum
We follow a rich early years curriculum that blends the Hygge Approach, Loose Parts Play, and hands‑on exploration. By following children’s interests, we foster creativity, communication, physical development, and emotional well-being.
Our curriculum supports children’s development through various activities, helping them build essential skills and confidence as they prepare for school.
Our team
Our nursery school is home to a large, dedicated team of knowledgeable staff who are passionate about fostering children’s learning. With early years teachers, level 3–5 practitioners, and team members trained in Special Educational Needs, we ensure every child receives tailored support.
Our caring staff build strong relationships with families and provide a supportive atmosphere where children feel understood, nurtured, and ready to explore.
Parent partnerships
We believe strong parent partnerships enrich every child’s development. Families stay connected through our Grandir UK app, which shares detailed updates, photos, and monthly tips.
Alternatively our lending library, stay‑and‑play sessions, and open‑door approach help parents feel involved in their child’s day. We also support families with guidance on routines, transitions, and individual needs.

Our facilities
Our secure, welcoming facilities include intercom‑controlled access, bright playrooms, and a sensory room that supports calm, focused learning. Each room is designed to meet the needs of different ages and stages, ensuring children feel comfortable and inspired.
Playrooms
Our playrooms support children from babies to preschool:
Baby Room (Bumblebees) – A nurturing space with sensory experiences and soft play.
Ladybird Room – A warm environment supporting early communication and movement.
Willow, Orchid, Hedgehog & Mallard Rooms – Engaging spaces for older children, with access to outdoor play area and a balcony space.
Children transition based on readiness, ensuring their individual needs are always prioritised.
Garden
The garden is filled with wonderful resources designed to spark curiosity and creativity; from a pirate ship for adventurous play to a climbing wall and a painted road for imaginative journeys. We also have a dedicated mud pit for hands-on, sensory fun, a growing garden where children learn about food from soil to plate, and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen.
These experiences help children explore, build confidence, and develop physical and social skills.
Activities
Children enjoy a wide range of activities, including: Boogie Mites, yoga, Sing and Sign, music and movement and Make and Bake. These sessions support communication, coordination, creativity, and emotional development.
Community outings
We bring learning to life through regular outings to local parks, shops, nature areas, and even a nearby train museum. These experiences help children understand their community, explore new environments, and enjoy hands‑on learning beyond the nursery.
