About Our Nursery

Our curriculum

We recognise that children learn best through play, exploration, and meaningful experiences. Our curriculum blends the Hygge and Curiosity approaches, creating calm, cosy spaces where children can follow their interests and develop essential early years skills.

We also deliver our bespoke educational programmes: Sow and Grow, Make and Bake, Health and Self, Innovate and Investigate, and Move and Groove supporting children’s physical development, creativity, communication, and confidence.

Our team

We are fortunate to have a longstanding, passionate team, including our experienced Nursery Manager, who leads with warmth and dedication. Our practitioners are highly qualified, trained, and committed to providing the very best care for children from birth to preschool age.

We also have a Level 6 Early Years educator in our preschool room and a qualified SENCo who works closely with families to ensure every child receives the support they need. The strong relationships our team builds with children and parents are reflected in the positive feedback we receive and the happy, confident children in our care.

Parent partnerships

We take pride in our open, transparent communication with families. Our Grandir UK app provides regular updates on routines, activities, and your child’s development, helping families feel connected throughout the day.

We host a variety of events including monthly stay-and-play sessions, breakfast clubs, parents’ evenings, Christmas fayres with yummy food, and open days. Our lending library encourages a love of reading at home, and our friendly staff are always available for face‑to‑face conversations or email support.

Our facilities

Playrooms

We have five newly refurbished playrooms, each designed for different age groups and developmental stages and to help children reach their full potential. Every room includes natural resources, engaging activities, and access to its own garden space, allowing children to enjoy outdoor play all year round.

Bluebells: A cosy space for babies with access to their own garden.
Daffodils: A large toddler room with free flow access to the garden.
Poppies: A spacious toddler room with free flow to the main garden.
Daisies: A bright room for older toddlers, supporting independence and creativity.
Sunflowers: Our preschool room for school leavers, offering a large open space for learning and preparation for school.

Transitions between rooms are based on each child’s readiness, with practitioners working closely with parents to ensure a smooth, supportive move.

Outdoor space

Our nursery has a lovely large outdoor area designed to support learning, exploration, and physical development. Children enjoy a fixed climbing frame and slide, a mud kitchen, a sheltered sand area, and an investigation garden for preschoolers. These spaces are maintained to the highest standards and encourage creativity, problem‑solving, and a love of the outdoors.
