Our curriculum is built around our Pathways and Foundations for the Future, incorporating our bespoke educational programmes: Sow and Grow, Move and Groove, Innovate and Investigate, Health and Self, and Make and Bake. We embrace the Curiosity Approach, believing that children learn best when they are genuinely passionate and engaged with their environment and activities.

The curiosity approach follows child-led learning, meaning that children tell us what they want to learn and we encourage their interests within our practice. This approach nurtures a love of learning, allowing each child to thrive and develop at their own pace.

We find this boosts children’s self-esteem, making them more confident learners for school and life.

Our dedicated SENCO team is passionate about providing tailored support to ensure every child’s individual needs are met, creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where all children can flourish.

We give all our staff members the opportunity to develop their knowledge within childcare and encourage them to keep on learning within this sector.

Parent Partnership

Our nursery app makes it easy for parents to stay involved and informed, providing a seamless connection between home and nursery. It’s the perfect way to share in your child’s learning journey, with regular photos and updates on your child and the latest news and events.

Our nursery is a place for both children and their families. We love involving families in our activities through stay-and-play sessions, where families can join in, have fun, and engage with their child as they explore and learn together.

We hold seasonal, special events to develop a sense of community amongst our families. We also provide learning bags for parents to continue their child’s learning at home.

We truly believe that our relationship with our families helps us provide higher-quality childcare that sets us apart from the crowd. That’s why we value this as much as the childcare we provide!

Facilities

Kiddi Caru Day Nursery and Preschool in Fareham is specifically designed to meet the needs of each child in our care which provides an inclusive and caring environment for all children!

Every child has their own key worker who oversees their care within the team, building a strong and trusting relationship with them to nurture their development. While the key worker plays a central role, all practitioners work together to ensure every child feels supported, valued, and confident as they transition between rooms and navigate their nursery journey.

At our nursery, children transition between rooms when they are ready, ensuring a smooth and supportive move that aligns with their individual development and needs.

Playrooms

Our ages are broken down into two rooms: our baby room, which we call Caterpillars, which is located in our first room and our preschool room, known as Butterflies, which is located in our second room.

Both rooms can be found on the ground floor for easy access. All our rooms are a large, open plan with a home-from-home feel!

Garden

Our exceptionally spacious garden, spread across three levels, features age-appropriate equipment designed to keep children engaged and active. Both babies and older children enjoy free-flow access to the garden from their nursery rooms, allowing them to explore and play at their own pace.

The large outdoor space includes a grass area for the children to explore nature and a terrace area where we set up sand and water play.

Our garden encourages physical activity and exploration, with a dedicated growing area where children can learn about the life cycle of fruits and vegetables. This hands-on experience helps them understand the importance of nutrition and nurtures their appreciation for nature.

Activities

All activities at our nursery are designed to help children learn and develop, whether that’s physically, emotionally or socially.

We offer Boogie Mites and Sing and Sign sessions, where children have fun singing, dancing, and learning through music and movement. Our preschool children also enjoy weekly sports sessions with our sports teacher, including tennis, which promote age-appropriate physical development, teamwork, and coordination.

These activities, along with many others, help support our children’s overall growth and well-being in a fun and engaging way!
