About Our Nursery
Curriculum
Our commitment to Early Years education is at the heart of everything we do. We offer a rich, play-based curriculum that sparks curiosity and creativity, ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
We embrace a blended approach, incorporating the Curiosity Approach and Reggio Emilia principles to create inspiring, child-led learning experiences.
Together, these approaches inspire a love for learning, encouraging children to discover, question, and thrive at their own pace. From our carefully designed learning spaces to our strong partnerships with parents, we work together to ensure every child grows confidently, feels inspired, and develops a lifelong love for learning.
Team
We are proud to have long-standing staff members, some have been with us for 20 years! Our team are reliable, happy and highly skilled. They hold a variety of qualifications from level 2 to qualified practitioners. We also have a qualified nursery SENCo lead, Qualified Forest School Leader and eight Designated Safeguarding Officers.
We promote continuous professional development amongst our team, through a range of courses such as ‘Sing and Sign’ and ‘Boogie Mites’ which bring joy and fun to the children and the team. We believe our nursery is a place to learn, we actively encourage the team to complete higher qualifications, and support apprenticeship.
Parent Partnership
We go above and beyond to ensure that we keep our families informed and involved. Our nursery app allows families to actively engage in their child’s nursery experience, the app keeps them updated on daily activities, care plans and any news or events at the nursery.
We host regular Stay and Play sessions and maintain a vibrant Calendar of Events, ensuring our families feel involved and connected throughout their child’s Early Years journey.
We love welcoming families into our nursery, valuing their involvement as it helps build strong relationships and keeps them connected to their child’s growth and milestones.

Facilities
Our nursery stands out for its supportive environment, where every child can grow into a confident learner. Despite being a large nursery, we maintain the warmth and personal touch of an independent setting. With small, tailored rooms, we ensure every child receives the individual attention they need to learn, thrive, and flourish.
Playrooms
We have eight nursery rooms in total. Our babies are located in our Snowdrop Room, we have three rooms for our younger toddlers, Sunflower, Primrose, Sweetpea. Our Bracken and Fern Rooms are for our older toddlers, and our Willow and Oak Room is for our preschool children.
All our playrooms are spacious, bright, and thoughtfully arranged to encourage independence and curiosity. Each room is equipped with age-appropriate resources, from creative art stations to cosy reading corners, creating a balance between structured learning and free play.
The play areas are vibrant and flexible, offering plenty of opportunities for imaginative play and group activities. We have dedicated zones for construction, role-playing, and quiet reflection, catering to all aspects of a child’s development.
Garden
We have three gardens at our nursery.
Our baby sensory garden provides a gentle, engaging environment with safe, stimulating features for our youngest children to explore and develop their senses. It’s designed with soft textures, calming sights, and sounds that encourage curiosity and discovery in a peaceful setting.
In our toddlers garden, we offers more adventurous opportunities for them to engage with nature and explore at their own pace. This space includes age-appropriate play equipment and open areas where they can develop motor skills and be confident while interacting with their surroundings.
Our main garden for our older children is a vibrant, expansive area filled with exciting play equipment, space for imaginative games, and opportunities for outdoor learning. The garden is shaded by plenty of trees, offering natural beauty and providing each and every child with a chance to connect with nature throughout the year.

Activities
Each week is filled with fun and exciting activities! From Boogie Mites and Sing and Sign to Make and Bake and Sow and Grow, there’s something to spark every child’s interest and imagination.
Community Outings
Our regular outings to the local care home foster intergenerational connections, allowing our children to engage with residents through activities, storytelling, and shared experiences. This not only enriches the children’s social skills but also helps build empathy and community bonds.
