About our nursery in Daventry
Curriculum
At our nursery, we prioritise your child’s development through a nurturing environment that blends the Curiosity Approach with Hygge principles. Using the Birth to 5 Matters framework, our curriculum supports all aspects of early years learning.
For preschool children, we follow a range of bespoke educational programmes offering engaging activities such as Innovate & Investigate, Sow & Grow, and Make & Bake, helping children learn, explore, and develop essential skills while reaching their full potential.
Team
Our nursery team brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, with many staff members having been with us for over 14 years. Collectively, they have early years expertise, covering areas such as speech and language, Special Educational Needs, child well-being and more.
We have a designated SENCo on site to ensure every child can thrive. Our inclusive team is friendly, approachable, and committed to supporting each child’s development.

Parent Partnerships
We value strong parent partnerships and provide resources and support for our families. Our Nursery App keeps parents updated on their child’s day, including meals, snacks, naps, activities, milestones, and photos.
Families can also borrow books from our lending library to support early learning at home, sparking a love for reading at an early age. They additionally benefit from our open-door policy to discuss any concerns, which is a part of our commitment to open-communication practices.
Facilities
With an inviting entrance, beautiful open rooms and a community feel, children love coming to our nursery. All our rooms are fun, inviting, with lots of activities and age-appropriate equipment on offer for all levels of learning for every child.
Playrooms
Our nursery offers age-appropriate playrooms designed to support each child’s development and well-being.
The Hedgehogs’ baby room provides a calm, sensory space for our youngest children. Caterpillars, our calming toddler room, has direct access to a gated garden for outdoor play and exploration.
The Busy Bees room (ages 2–3.5) offers a spacious, home-from-home setting that encourages independence. Our Wise Owls preschool room gives children free-flow access to the garden, inspiring learning, confidence, and curiosity through both indoor and outdoor experiences, preparing them for school.
Garden
Our recently refurbished nursery garden offers a safe and stimulating environment where children can run, jump, play, explore, and develop their motor skills in nature.
Through our Sow & Grow programme, children experience the full cycle of gardening, from planting seeds to harvesting produce, which they then use in Make & Bake activities, like turning home-grown carrots into carrot cake.
The secure, enclosed garden is equipped for all age groups, encouraging teamwork, creativity, and a love for the environment.

Activities
Children enjoy a wide range of fun activities every day to support their development and early learning.
We run daily Boogie Mites sessions, use sign language to enhance communication, and offer sensory play with water and sand both indoors and outdoors.
All activities are tailored to each child’s individual interests and abilities, creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Community Outings
Community Outings are a fantastic way to further facilitate children’s development! For our older children, we take them to visit an elderly care home for integrational learning.
They love spending time with the residents and do activities together such as listening to music time, reading stories, doing puzzles, as well as singing and dancing. It’s a great experience for everyone!
