Curriculum
We believe that each chid is unique and we work closely with each child to understand their needs, interest and learning styles.
Using a mixture of various teaching methods and activities including sensory experiences, play-based activities, and interactive games, we’re able to learn and support all children in their growth and development during their early years.
At our day nursery and preschool in Bedford we follow Pathways to the Foundations programme which is designed for children under two and our Foundations for the Future programme for children aged two to five.
Our child-led learning approach incorporates our various programmes such as sow and grow, make and bake, move and groove, health and self and innovate and investigate. Activities are set to match each age group.
We give room to a child’s curiosity so that they can flourish every day!
Team
We have a dedicated team with many years of experience of working in early years. A handful of staff have over 15 years service and over 90% are qualified whist others are training for their level 2 and 3 certifications.
At the nursery we are fortunate to have highly trained and experienced staff. Our team is also very diverse and this something we celebrate, we’re lucky to have a number of team members that speak other languages including Spanish, Welsh, Punjabi, Polish, Urdu, Gujarati, Hindi, Portuguese and Italian.
Parent Partnership
Our nursery app keeps parents connected with their child’s daily experiences, providing updates on meals, naps, activities, and milestones, along with photos and important nursery announcements.
Our family engagement is essential to a child’s learning and we actively provide regular home learning opportunities. These include our home learning bags, monthly family events in nursery and preschool, and our dedicated ‘Parent Hutch’ where we provide advice and support.
We also have several lending libraries where we provide catalogues for parents to choose games, books and activities to support areas of learning at home. Our nursery also has a designated family room for use during inductions, meetings and settling-in sessions.
