Curriculum

Play is at the heart of our curriculum. Our nurturing team gently guides each of our children to explore the world around them in the safety of our private grounds, to ensure they develop a love for nature and let their imaginations run wild.

Our preschool embraces the benefits of Forest School, led by a qualified practitioner who nurtures a natural curiosity and love for the outdoors. This enriching experience not only nurtures children’s curiosity but also inspires learning and development in equal measure.

Your child will develop a deep appreciation for nature and their surroundings as they explore our beautiful private woodlands alongside our team. They’ll experience the joy of bug hunting, building dens and campfires, collecting eggs from the chickens, visiting the horses, and so much more.

Exploring nature helps build confidence and independence, enhances physical fitness, supports mental well-being, and can even improve sleep patterns.

Team

Our preschool team is highly qualified, experienced, and dedicated, providing exceptional care and learning opportunities to support your child’s development.

Our wonderful staff provide loving and supportive childcare for your child each day, with two SENCo practitioners to ensure every child is included and has their individual needs met.

We also have a Forest School qualified practitioner and an on-site chef to provide nutritious and tasty meals.

Parent Partnership

We use the nursery app to keep families connected with their child’s daily activities, meals, milestones, and more. This user-friendly platform provides easy access to photos, notes from our team, and important updates. It also allows for seamless communication, making it easier for families to ask questions and stay informed about special events and reminders. Our nursery app plays a key role in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all families.

We have a lending library for our families to borrow books and read at home together. We also provide different learning packs for our children to take home and continue their learning at home. In our welcome area parents are invited to enjoy a coffee and snack from the snack bowl, filled with fruit and cereal bars, for everyone needing breakfast on the move.

We celebrate many cultural and seasonal events including harvest festival, Halloween and Christmas.

Facilities

Playrooms

Our nursery has a large well-resourced playroom with high quality toys and activities, including a large kitchen and role play area, construction area, arts and crafts, sand and water play trays, a quiet corner and much more.

We have free-flow access into our beautiful private gardens so our children can choose where they play during their extended day. We also have a separate room for children who need to play in a quieter space, with sensory toys to access their natural curiosity.

Garden

Our children have free-flow access to our dedicated preschool garden and a forest school which we use extensively everyday. We have mud kitchens in both play areas where we encourage children to explore nature and develop their confidence outdoors.

We have a fabulous planting area where we grow herbs and flowers with the children and a decked area with toys. We often take the children for walks within the grounds of the preschool, where we enjoy visiting the horses and collecting our chickens eggs.

Activities

We take pride in offering a diverse range of activities that spark wonder and excitement in every child, we provide experiences that encourage children to explore and grow.

Your child can enjoy learning cooking, sport, music, and gardening, and Forest School activities!
