Welcome to Radcliffe-on-Trent Day Nursery on Main Road, in the heart of the village and just off the A52. We are open Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm.
Our village location is convenient for families living and working in Radcliffe-on-Trent, Nottingham and the surrounding area. Inside, our bright, well-resourced playrooms give children plenty of opportunities to play and explore, while our team take time to get to know each child and provide familiar faces throughout their nursery day.
Wellbeing at Radcliffe is supported through nutritious food, time outdoors and strong relationships with families. Healthy, balanced meals are prepared on site, with individual dietary requirements catered for and mealtimes providing opportunities for children to eat together and enjoy the social side of the nursery day.
Regular outdoor experiences give children plenty of opportunities to move, explore and discover more about the world around them.
Our team work closely with families to share information, talk through any concerns and provide continuity between home and nursery. The GrandirUK App keeps families connected with updates, photos and information about their child’s activities and progress, helping families stay involved in their learning and experiences.
Questions are always welcome, and our team are here to talk through anything families would like to know more about.
Children at Radcliffe enjoy a varied mix of age-appropriate experiences shaped around their interests, from creative play and group activities to outdoor learning and Forest School sessions.
Our nursery minibus also takes children out into the local area for regular community outings. These visits give children opportunities to explore beyond the nursery, experience different places and people, and become more familiar with the village around them.
Our bright, well-resourced playrooms give children plenty of space to explore, play and follow their interests, with resources chosen to support different ages and stages of development.
Children move into their next room when they are developmentally and emotionally ready, rather than simply when they reach a particular age, helping us keep each child’s individual needs at the centre of their experience.
Meals are freshly prepared on site by our nursery chef, while our minibus takes children out on regular community outings and educational trips, extending their experiences beyond the nursery.
Outdoor space
Our dedicated outdoor space is filled with resources that give children opportunities to explore, be active and follow their curiosity. Time outdoors is a regular part of nursery life, with plenty of space for physical play and hands-on experiences.
Forest School sessions extend this further, giving children opportunities to explore and learn in a natural environment. Alongside our Eco School work, these experiences encourage children to discover more about the natural world and the environment around them.
Consistency of care is an important part of life at Radcliffe. Children are supported by familiar team members who take time to understand their routines, interests and individual needs, providing continuity throughout their nursery day.
We work closely with families too, sharing information about each child’s routines and experiences so we can provide care that feels familiar and responds to what they need.
Our Early Years curriculum at Radcliffe-on-Trent is shaped by curiosity and play, with experiences that respond to children’s interests and support their learning and development at their own pace.
Forest School sessions give children opportunities to explore and learn in the natural environment, while our preschool provision supports growing confidence, independence and early skills as children prepare for the move to school.
We believe curiosity should lead. At Radcliffe, our Early Years curriculum is shaped around children’s interests, questions and the things they want to explore, giving them opportunities to follow their ideas and make new discoveries.
Our Eco School work brings the world outside into this approach too, from exploring our outdoor spaces to learning through Forest School sessions. By listening to children’s ideas and responding to what captures their interest, our team can build on their curiosity as their learning develops.
For families with more than one child, having siblings at Radcliffe means one drop-off and pick-up, while each child has a playroom suited to their own age and stage.
Brothers and sisters have opportunities to see each other and share parts of their nursery experience, from time outdoors to mealtimes, with familiar team members around them throughout their time with us.
Sibling places are subject to availability, but where we have space in the appropriate room, we will always look at the options for welcoming brothers and sisters together.
Led by Nursery Manager Nichola, our experienced team at Radcliffe-on-Trent bring a broad range of Early Years knowledge to their roles, including experience supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities.
Our team take time to understand each child’s individual needs and work closely with families to provide inclusive, responsive care. Safeguarding, wellbeing and high standards of care underpin our approach throughout the nursery.
