Welcome to Kiddi Caru Day Nursery, Harlow, a purpose-built nursery on Kiln Lane in Church Langley. We welcome children from birth to 5 years and are open Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 6:30pm.
Conveniently located close to local schools and green spaces, the nursery is also within easy reach of routes including Second Avenue, Monkswick Road and Hobbs Cross Road. Ample onsite parking helps make drop-offs and collections easier for families.
Children’s wellbeing is considered throughout the nursery day at Harlow. Our on-site chef prepares nutritious meals each day, while regular opportunities for outdoor play give children time to move, explore and enjoy the garden throughout the year. Our sensory room offers a quieter space with lights, textures and sounds for sensory exploration and a change of pace when children need it.
We also work closely with families to keep them connected with nursery life. Through the GrandirUK App, families receive daily reports, photos and updates about their child’s activities and progress, alongside twice-yearly Parent Evenings and regular conversations with the team.
Our Family Breakfast Bar offers fruit, pastries and drinks for families on busy mornings, providing another opportunity to connect with the nursery team as part of the daily routine.
Children at Kiddi Caru Harlow enjoy a varied mix of experiences, including arts and crafts, story time, music and movement, Boogie Mites, Sing and Sign and hands-on outdoor learning.
Regular outings also take children into the local community, from walking to Tesco to choose ingredients for baking to visiting the duck pond, exploring on nature walks and heading to the nearby bridle path to see the horses. These experiences give children opportunities to explore their surroundings and become familiar with the community around them.
Our purpose-built nursery in Church Langley has bright, spacious playrooms designed around the different ages and stages of children’s development. Across seven playrooms, children have access to a varied range of resources and experiences that give them opportunities to explore, create and follow their interests.
Children move into their next room when they are developmentally and emotionally ready, rather than simply because they have reached a particular age. Our dedicated sensory room offers another environment to explore, with lights, textures and sounds providing different sensory experiences.
Outdoor space
Our large garden offers plenty of opportunities for active play, exploration and discovery. A mud kitchen, climbing frame, stone play area and open spaces give children different ways to move, balance, investigate and use their imaginations outdoors.
We also have an outdoor sensory cabin, providing a quieter space where children can explore sensory materials at their own pace. Children have regular opportunities to spend time outdoors throughout the year, experiencing the changing seasons and discovering more about the natural world around them.
Quality of care at Harlow starts with getting to know each child as an individual. Our team take time to understand their routines, preferences, interests and stage of development, using this knowledge to provide personalised care and experiences throughout their nursery day.
As children grow and move through the nursery, our team work closely with families to support each transition, sharing regular updates and adapting their approach to reflect each child’s individual needs.
Our curriculum follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), combining child-led exploration with thoughtfully planned learning experiences. Our education programmes — Health & Self, Innovate & Investigate, Make & Bake and Move & Groove — introduce children to a varied range of experiences across the nursery day.
Inspired by Hygge, Reggio Emilia and Montessori principles, our approach gives children opportunities to follow their interests, make choices, investigate ideas and learn through hands-on experiences at their own pace.

For families with more than one child, having siblings at Harlow means one drop-off and pick-up, while each child can enjoy the playroom and experiences suited to their own age and stage.
Across our seven playrooms, brothers and sisters may spend their nursery day in different rooms, while shared spaces such as the garden give them opportunities to see each other and share parts of nursery life.
Sibling places are subject to availability, but where we have space in the appropriate room, we will always look at the options for welcoming brothers and sisters together.
Led by Nursery Manager Chloe, our Harlow team includes many practitioners who have been part of the nursery for several years, providing continuity and familiar faces for children and families.
Our team includes Level 2 and Level 3 qualified practitioners, colleagues with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and an experienced SENDCo, bringing a range of knowledge and expertise to the nursery.
Each child also has a key person who takes time to get to know their individual personality, interests, routines and development, helping to provide care and experiences that respond to them as an individual.
