Days here have a familiar rhythm, with plenty of opportunities to be active as well as time to slow down. Our in-house chef prepares fresh, nutritious meals each day, yoga sessions offer a calmer change of pace, and our extensive outdoor area gives children regular opportunities for fresh air, physical play and exploration.

We keep families informed with regular feedback, photos and activity updates from their child’s key person and through the GrandirUK App. We also host Parents Information Evenings and celebrations throughout the year, while our lending library gives families another way to enjoy books and continue learning together at home.

Children at Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Basingstoke enjoy a range of activities suited to different ages and stages, including yoga, music and movement with Boogie Mites, and French sessions that introduce children to another language.

We head out regularly too, with nature walks and visits to the local park giving children opportunities to explore beyond the nursery. We also have a special relationship with a nearby care home, where children and residents spend time together through shared activities and experiences, building connections across generations.

Our Basingstoke nursery is purpose-built, with spacious playrooms designed around the needs of different ages and stages. Each room is thoughtfully arranged to give children opportunities to play, explore and learn, with spaces and resources suited to the children using them.

Our babies also have a dedicated sleep room, providing a quieter space for rest as part of their individual routine and care throughout the nursery day.

Outdoor space

Our extensive outdoor area is divided into three garden spaces, giving children plenty of room to run, play and explore. Equipment and activities across the gardens provide opportunities for physical play, exploration and outdoor learning throughout the day.

Children can investigate the natural world, challenge their physical skills and explore at their own pace. These experiences give them opportunities to develop growing independence, coordination and confidence as they move through the nursery.

Care at Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Basingstoke is built around open, reassuring communication. Our team are always happy to talk through questions or concerns, however small, and to share how each child’s day has been.

By keeping communication open between home and nursery, families can stay informed about their child’s routines, experiences and development, while our team can better understand what each child needs from us.

Our child-centred curriculum focuses on skills that support children throughout their early years, including communication, independence and emotional development. In our younger rooms, we draw on elements of the Hygge approach, alongside the Curiosity Approach to encourage exploration, discovery and child-led learning.

Activities and experiences are shaped around different ages, stages and interests, supporting children’s development as they move through the nursery and begin to prepare for school.

We believe understanding each child is an important part of helping them learn and develop. That is why our curriculum places communication, independence and emotional development at its heart, with experiences shaped around each child’s age, stage and interests.

In our younger rooms, elements of the Hygge approach help create warm, nurturing environments, while the Curiosity Approach encourages children to explore, investigate and follow their interests as they grow.

Having more than one child at the nursery means one drop-off and pick-up on Broadmere Road and one familiar team getting to know your family. Our purpose-built rooms are designed around different ages and stages, so brothers and sisters can each have a space suited to them while still sharing the three gardens outside.

Sibling places are subject to availability, but where we have space, we will always do what we can to find places for brothers and sisters together.

Rebecca, our Nursery Manager, leads an experienced team at Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Basingstoke, bringing a strong range of Early Years knowledge and expertise to the nursery.

Our baby room team have completed baby-specific training, while our qualified SENCo works with children and families to understand individual needs and provide appropriate support. Our in-house chef is also part of the wider team, preparing meals and catering for individual dietary requirements.
