Our team

Our dedicated team at Spencers Wood Nursery in Berkshire is passionate about delivering high-quality early years education and care. All staff, the Nursery Manager included, have first aid training and are committed to ongoing professional development, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive. Each child is given a key worker to help them build secure relationships, support their individual development, and monitor their progress throughout their early years journey.

Parent Partnerships

We build strong partnerships with families through open communication and ongoing support. Using the Grandir UK app, families stay updated on their child’s progress, daily activities, nutritious meals and development. We also offer a lending library with books and resources to support learning at home, and host regular events to celebrate milestones and strengthen connections between parents, children, and our team.

Our garden

Our garden offers a safe, stimulating outdoor space where children can explore their individual interests, play, and learn through hands-on experiences. Linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), it supports physical development, creativity, and curiosity. With access to nature and real-life resources, children enjoy fresh air while developing key skills and building a connection to the world around them.

Community Outings

Our children regularly visit the nearby park, where they can enjoy nature, engage in physical activities, and develop social skills through play. Additionally, we take trips to local shops within the community, encouraging children to learn about their surroundings and experience real-world interactions.
