Welcome to Elan Day Nursery, where we are passionate about caring for children. We specialise in providing nurturing care for children aged 3 months to 3 years. Our recently refurbished nursery offers bright, airy spaces with a fresh and modern feel, creating the perfect environment for children to learn and play.
Our baby room provides a warm and loving environment, while our exciting new under-twos room is thoughtfully designed to stimulate and engage young minds. Our older toddlers thrive in vibrant spaces that encourage creativity, social skills, and confidence through active play and exploration.

Location
Conveniently located on Perrymount Road in Haywards Heath, near Bolnore Village and Copyhold Lane. Our nursery is situated behind Haywards Heath train station, opposite Clare Park, and within walking distance of our Elan Preschool. Our building has been beautifully refurbished to create a lovely, modern, and natural space that’s perfect for young children.

Curriculum
At Elan, learning is as fun and natural as play! Our curriculum encourages child-led exploration with hands-on activities indoors and in our garden, guided by the Froebel approach to celebrate play, nature, and community.
We blend discovery with playful structure through programmes like ‘Make and Bake,’ ‘Sow and Grow,’ and ‘Move and Groove,’ along with activities such as Boogie Mites music, Tatty Bumpkins yoga, Pro Tot sports, and library visits.
Our nursery curriculum supports children’s development and readiness for school life through structured activities that align with established educational curriculums, fostering a smooth transition into future schooling environments.

Team
Our dedicated and highly experienced team is passionate about delivering outstanding care and education for every child. With a range of qualifications, including Level 3, SENCo, Makaton certifications and first aid, our staff are well-equipped to support children’s individual needs and development.
Our skilled SENCo team works closely with families to provide tailored support, creating an inclusive and nurturing environment where all children can succeed.
We are committed to ongoing professional development, ensuring our team stays at the forefront of best practices in Early Years education.

Facilities
Our amazing setting is designed to provide a safe, engaging learning environment for a child’s journey to grow and learn. Our newly refurbished building is light, modern, and spacious, with each room tailored to individual needs.
Playrooms
We are passionate about providing care for babies and toddlers, aged 3 months to 3 years. Elan Day Nursery features dedicated rooms for each age group, allowing children to transition seamlessly between spaces as they are ready.
Roos: An open, comforting space on the first floor with a milk kitchen, changing area, and cosy sleep pods.Â
Robins: A stimulating space with a climbing area, perfect for developing motor skills.Â
Rabbits: Here, role play takes centre stage, with a dedicated ‘hoppin’s’ role play shop.Â
Tiggers: A creative area with free-flowing arts and crafts and an indoor sand area. Older children have free-flow access to play areas and equipment, emphasising the importance of physical activity and exploration.Â
Each nursery room offers a variety of educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of the children.
All our rooms are designed with soft furnishings and accent colours to create a calm and inviting space. We also have shared areas, including a children’s kitchen, library, and garden.
Garden
Our enclosed garden is a delightful and safe space for children to explore and enjoy the outdoors. Featuring a playful rocket ship and raised planting beds, it’s perfect for sparking imagination and introducing children to the wonders of gardening.
The AstroTurf surface and shaded areas create a comfortable environment where our babies can crawl, toddle, and play safely, making every moment outside an adventure.
We also have an indoor studio garden that leads into the outdoor space, providing year-round access to nature.
Activities
Our activities are carefully designed to spark creativity, build confidence, and support holistic development, all while keeping the children engaged and having fun!
Boogie Mites Music Sessions: These interactive sessions inspire a love for music and rhythm, supporting early language, social, and physical development through fun, energetic activities.
Tatty Bumpkins Yoga Classes: Combining yoga, mindfulness, and storytelling, these classes encourage physical strength, balance, and emotional well-being.

With nearly 10 years of experience in the Early Years sector, Georgia has grown her career from apprentice to Nursery Manager, achieving her Level 2 and 3 qualifications and excelling in roles such as practitioner, team leader, and deputy. She brings a wealth of expertise, and is passionate about creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive. Georgia is a hands-on leader who loves being involved in children’s learning and play while maintaining an open-door policy for staff and parents. As a mum of two young children who also attend Elan, she combines professional expertise with personal experience to create a warm, home-from-home environment for all.
