Curriculum

We provide a comprehensive curriculum focusing on holistic development through our tailored programs, Foundations for the Future and Pathways to the Future. Our approach draws inspiration from renowned Early Years teaching methodologies such as Hygge and Reggio Emilia Montessori, allowing us to incorporate the best aspects of each to create a rich and diverse learning experience.

Team

At the heart of Kiddi Caru Harlow is our nursery staff of experienced Early Years practitioners, many of whom have been with us for many years. All the staff here are dedicated to creating a warm, supporting and familiar environment for the children in our care.

Each child is assigned a key worker who provides personalised attention and care, ensuring effective communication between staff and parents about the child’s daily activities and progress. They will work closely with you to understand your child’s unique needs, interests, and personality, and will develop a personalised care plan to support their development

Our team members hold a variety of early years qualifications, including QTS, Level 3, and Level 2 certifications, so you know your child is in safe, experienced hands. With a SENDCo onsite, we provide support for children with additional needs, ensuring every child feels understood, valued, cared for and included.

Parent Partnership

We’re committed to building strong relationships with parents, keeping you closely connected with your child’s experiences. Through our nursery app, you’ll receive updates, photos, and daily reports on your child’s activities from nursery staff as well as updates about additional sessions and activities.

Our twice-yearly parents’ evenings and open-door policy mean that we’re always here to answer any questions or offer support.

For busy mornings, our Family Breakfast Bar is stocked with water, juice, breakfast bars, fresh fruit, and pastries, perfect for families on the go!

Facilities

Our fantastic setting is crafted to provide an engaging and safe learning environment for a child’s journey to grow and learn. This warm and welcoming atmosphere offers everything children need to explore comfortably and develop with confidence.

Playrooms

Our seven playrooms are designed for different groups enabling children transition based on their readiness. Our rooms create a cosy, home-like atmosphere that helps children feel at ease in a space designed and equipped especially for them. Each room has a calming, home-like ambience that fosters a sense of safety and security, making our nursery a true home away from home.

Outdoor Space

Our outdoor space at Harlow offers children a world of discovery and adventure. The large mud kitchen invites young imaginations to explore mixing, pouring, and creating with natural materials, while our stone area introduces foundational math concepts as children explore volume, weight, shape, and size through hands-on activities.

Our versatile climbing frame can be reconfigured in multiple ways to encourage physical development, helping children strengthen coordination and build confidence. Alternatively, our sensory cabin offers a quiet, stimulating retreat where each child can explore lights, textures, and sounds, enhancing their sensory awareness.

Activities

From creative arts and crafts to engaging story time sessions, our activities are designed to stimulate young minds and foster a love for learning. Alongside everyday access to our sensory cabin and outdoor spaces, we also incorporate music and movement sessions in the form of Boogie Mites and Sing and Sign classes, encouraging physical activity and coordination.

Community Outings

We believe in the importance of connecting children with our local community through engaging outings that enhance their learning experiences. Regular trips to Tesco allow our little ones to gather baking materials and food for our beloved duck pond visits, where they can feed the ducks and enjoy nature first-hand. We also venture to the bridle path, where children can observe the horses that roam freely, fostering a love for animals and the outdoors. These outings are designed to bridge the gap between our nursery and the surrounding community, allowing children to explore, learn, and grow in a vibrant environment.
