About our Nursery
Our curriculum
Our curriculum is designed to support children’s development through a blend of child‑led exploration and structured early years education. We follow our bespoke educational programmes: Health & Self, Innovate & Investigate, Make & Bake and Move & Groove, which offer a wide variety of learning experiences inspired by Hygge, Reggio Emilia, and Montessori principles. Children benefit from a stimulating environment filled with natural materials, open‑ended resources, and opportunities to follow their interests. Our approach encourages independence, creativity, problem‑solving, and confidence, helping children flourish at their own pace.

Our team
Our dedicated team is at the heart of our nursery. Many staff members have been with us for years, creating a familiar, supportive atmosphere for children and families. Each child is assigned a key person who works closely with parents, offering personalised care, regular updates, and thoughtful support during transitions. Our team includes Level 2 and Level 3 practitioners, QTS‑qualified staff, and an experienced SENDCo who ensures children with additional needs receive tailored support. Families appreciate our friendly staff, their passion for early years education, and the way they recognise each child’s unique personality, interests, and learning style.
Parent partnerships
We believe strong relationships with parents create the best outcomes for children. Through our nursery app, families receive updates, photos, and daily reports about their child’s activities, progress, and routines. We host twice‑yearly parents’ evenings, open‑door conversations, and regular events that bring our community together. Our Family Breakfast Bar is a favourite among parents offering fruit, pastries, and drinks for busy mornings. We are always here to answer questions, offer guidance, and support families through every stage of nursery life, from registration to school transition.
Playrooms
We have seven spacious playrooms, each tailored to different ages and stages. Children transition rooms based on readiness, ensuring they feel secure and confident as they progress. Our sensory room provides a calming, exploratory space where children can engage with lights, textures, and sounds in a safe environment supporting emotional regulation and sensory development.
Outdoor space
Our lovely nursery outdoor spaces offer children a world of discovery. The large garden includes a mud kitchen, climbing frame, stone play area, and open spaces for running, balancing, and imaginative play. Alternatively, our sensory cabin offers a quiet retreat where children can explore sensory materials in a safe, nurturing space. Children enjoy year‑round access to the outdoors, supporting physical development, confidence, and a love of nature.

Activities
Children enjoy a wide range of enrichment activities including arts and crafts, story time, music and movement, Boogie Mites, Sing and Sign, and hands‑on outdoor learning. These experiences support communication, physical development, creativity, and social skills.
Community outings
We love connecting children with the local community. Regular outings include visits to Tesco for baking ingredients, trips to the duck pond, nature walks, and visits to the bridle path to see horses. These experiences help children understand the world, build confidence, and enjoy meaningful learning beyond the nursery grounds.
