About Our Nursery
Our curriculum
Our curriculum reflects a deep understanding of children’s interests and how they learn best. Babies and toddlers benefit from a calm, Hygge‑inspired environment that supports emotional well‑being and gives them the space to settle, explore, and learn at their own pace. For older children, we follow a child‑led approach through the Curiosity Approach and In‑the‑Moment Planning. This flexible style of teaching allows children to follow their interests, make choices, and develop independence. Natural, open‑ended materials encourage creativity, problem‑solving, and imaginative play. Our curriculum also includes a wide range of bespoke educational programmes, these sessions support physical development, communication, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Our team
Our dedicated team is incredibly supportive, passionate, and committed to providing the very best for every child. Many staff members hold Level 5 Early Years qualifications, and our SENCo team ensures that children with additional needs receive tailored support. We are proud of the strong relationships we build with families. Parents appreciate our open communication, helpful guidance, and the way our team reflects the nursery’s warm ethos. Every member of staff plays a key role in helping children flourish, progress, and feel confident in their learning.
Parent partnerships
We believe that strong partnerships with families create the best outcomes for children. Our nursery app keeps parents updated with details about their child’s day, routines, progress, and upcoming events. We regularly host celebrations and family events from Mother’s Day and Father’s Day to festive activities and parents’ evenings. These moments help families feel connected to nursery life and offer opportunities to talk with staff, ask questions, and feel supported.
Playrooms
Our nursery layout creates a bright, airy environment filled with natural light. We have four spacious rooms: Discoverers, Explorers, Creators, and Inventors, each designed to support children at different stages of development. Children move rooms when they are emotionally and physically ready, ensuring a smooth transition that supports their well‑being. We also have a dedicated sensory room, offering a calming space that supports emotional regulation, communication, and sensory exploration.
Outdoor space
We are well‑known across Hanham for our expansive gardens. With natural grass, free‑flow access, and year‑round outdoor play, children enjoy a stimulating environment filled with opportunities to explore, climb, dig, and learn through nature.

Activities
Our nursery offers a wide range of activities that support children’s development, including loose‑parts play, arts and crafts, junk modelling, Sing & Sign, Boogie Mites, and Makaton. These experiences help children build communication skills, creativity, and confidence. To support learning at home, we provide take‑home activity packs so families can enjoy one of our nursery activities together.
Community outings
We take regular outings to local parks, nature trails, and nearby shops to buy ingredients for baking. These experiences help children build confidence, understand their community, and prepare for school by developing independence, curiosity, and real‑world learning skills.
