Curriculum

Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to support each child’s growth and development, with activities carefully tailored to their age and stage. We aim to nurture a love for learning, helping children feel confident, curious, and excited about exploring the world around them.

We follow our bespoke Early Years education programmes, Pathways and Foundations for the Future, which are built upon the Government’s EYFS framework. These programmes ensure that all children develop key skills in a supportive and engaging environment.

Through our curriculum, children become environmentally aware and responsible, active and resilient, innovative and curious, and confident in their abilities. We focus on preparing each child not only for primary school but for lifelong learning, equipping them with the skills and mindset needed to thrive in the years to come.

Team

All our staff members are trained in paediatric first aid to ensure your child’s safety and well-being within our nursery.

We support all our team members to further their professional development goals, whether that’s through our apprenticeship scheme or our bespoke leadership development programmes.

Parent Partnerships

To keep you connected and informed about your child’s day, we use our nursery app, a powerful tool that offers real-time updates on your child’s activities, progress, and daily routines. From nap times and meal updates to exciting moments, you’ll always have a window into your child’s experiences during the day.

Our very popular lending library which includes books and story bags are perfect for parents to take home to help their child develop their learning at home, and we hold stay and play sessions on the last Friday of each month from 9.30am to 10.30am which is open to all our family members.

Facilities

All the rooms at our nursery are bright and airy with age appropriate resources for all children to create an inclusive environment and support independent exploration.

The colours we use at our setting are calm and natural, with a focus on quality wooden resources to enable children to be supported in their own individual open ended play.

Playrooms

Our nursery is carefully designed with dedicated spaces to cater to the unique needs of the children. Downstairs, we have two playrooms: the Bumblebees room for babies and the Butterflies room for toddlers. Both rooms offer free-flow access to their own garden areas, complete with decking and a grass space, allowing children to explore and enjoy the outdoors in a safe, natural environment.

Upstairs, the Dragonflies room is designed for preschool-aged children. This room offers a variety of engaging activities that support the development of essential skills for primary school, nurturing growth in cognitive, social, and emotional areas.

Additionally, we have a sensory room upstairs, accessible to children of all ages. This space provides a calming environment where children can explore different sensory experiences through touch, sight, and sound.

Each room is thoughtfully created to ensure that children feel safe, nurtured, and inspired as they learn and grow at their own pace, with transitions between rooms occurring when children are ready.

Garden

We have three gardens, each offering a wide variety of engaging environments for all children to enjoy and use, no matter what the weather.

We provide a wide range of age-appropriate activities and equipment in our garden, including bikes, tyres, and other fun resources designed to support and enhance physical development.

These carefully selected resources encourage children to explore, build strength, improve coordination, and develop motor skills in an engaging and stimulating environment.

Activities

We hold many fun activities for the children within our care! We hold Boogie Mites sessions so our children can dance and sing to their favourite songs.

We also hold Sing & Sign sessions for our babies to help with their cognitive development and communication skills. We also hold a wide variety of daily activities within each of our classrooms!

Regular Outings

Our nursery enjoys regular outings, where we take walks to the local shops or nearby parks. These outings offer children the opportunity to explore their community, discover new experiences, and develop their social skills in a real-world setting.
