Child Safety Made Simple

This year, Child Safety Week 2023 runs from Monday 5th to Sunday 11th June 2023.

Child Safety Week is the Child Accident Prevention Trust (CAPT)’s annual community education campaign, acting as a catalyst for thousands of safety conversations and activities UK-wide.

This annual event aims to help families build confidence and skills in managing the real risks to children’s safety. Ensuring all children to have the freedom to grow and learn, safe from serious harm.

This year the theme is ‘Safety Made Simple’. Accidents often happen when there is a lot going on, so accident prevention needs to be simple.

Did you know that 80% of accidents to under 5s happen at home? That’s why the Child Accident Prevention Trust (CAPT) has lots of helpful resources available for parents on their website. Including free accident prevention tips and bite-sized facts.
