Kiddi Caru Taunton Snail Friends

The preschool children have been dutifully caring for their nursery pet Giant Land Snails. The children help the team to feed and care for them by keeping the tank clean. As well as, keeping them clean by scrubbing their shells with soft tooth brushes. They research what the snails like to eat, discovering that carrots are their favourite. The children love looking for the snails in the tank every morning! Some children also like to hold the snails, describing how they feel in their hands. The team use these interactions to explain the importance of hygiene and washing your hands after handling the snails.
