About Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace is a wonderful area located in South London with a lively village atmosphere, a great community and a thriving local arts scene. Our day nursery setting is nestled in Southeast London, close to Upper Norwood, and full of independent shops and its famous large park. It is popular with families for great community. Crystal Palace Park is two minute’s walk from our Crystal Palace day nursery in the heart of the village.
In the park you can see the beautiful landscaping and remaining statues from the Great Exhibition. The Crystal Palace itself was lost to fire in 1936. The park provides plenty of space for fresh air with a lovely cafe to meet friends. The famous grade I listed ‘dinosaurs’ are a fascinating feature nestled around the lake. There is a large playground for toddlers and young children, as well as a skate park and Olympic sized swimming pool. In summer there are concerts on the lake and there is a weekly farmers market which has a friendly atmosphere and is a wonderful experience for children and parents.
