The children at Kiddi Caru Peterborough have recently been experimenting with different materials to find a variety of ways to make marks. The children helped wrap the table fully with paper to create a mark making den, they asked to put cushions under the table to lay on while making marks underneath the table.
Mark making activities allow children to practise and experience a range of learning opportunities, from pen control in preparation for writing to creativity and expression. The team decided to allow the children to develop their skills in a fun way by creating a mark making den under the tables. The children loved using their every day furniture from a new perspective!
