Kiddi Caru Market Harborough Clay Play

Our preschool children at Kiddi Caru in Market Harborough had a wonderful time making up some roman inspired pots using ‘air dry’ clay. The children even got to decorate them once the clay had dried!

Why clay play?

Clay play is a multi-sensory activity: touch, sight, smell—and even sound. Is it slimy or dry? What does it sound like when you squeeze it? Children can strengthen sensory skills as they learn to manipulate the material into different objects and shapes.

At our nurseries and preschools, we provide many different activities for our children to ensure they have lots of opportunities to explore their creativity and explore through their senses.
