We’re delighted to share some fantastic news from Kiddi Caru Day Nursery and Preschool Walnut Tree: they have officially achieved their Sing and Sign accreditation! This brilliant milestone recognises the team’s commitment to supporting children’s communication, confidence, and early speech and language development through music, movement and baby signing.
The accreditation reflects a whole-team approach to inclusive early years practice, where babies, toddlers and preschoolers are supported to express themselves using both sing and sign. By embedding Sing and Sign techniques into everyday routines, children are given more ways to communicate, reducing frustration and helping them feel understood from an early age.
Staff at Kiddi Caru Walnut Tree have shared how much they enjoy using baby signing class type activities within their setting, combining familiar songs, rhythm and gesture to make communication engaging and fun. This playful approach helps children and babies explore the basics of language while building strong foundations for future speech development. Families often notice the difference too, with many saying they love Sing and Sign and that they can clearly see the benefits at home.

The achievement also highlights the team’s dedication to ongoing training, reflection, and professional development. By continuing to embed Sing and Sign into daily routines, the nursery ensures children benefit from a rich, engaging environment where communication is celebrated in all its forms.
We’re incredibly proud of the team at Kiddi Caru Walnut Tree for this achievement and look forward to seeing even more children grow in confidence as they sing, sign, learn and explore every day.

We’d love to welcome you into the nursery to see how Sing and Sign is brought to life through fun, interactive learning experiences, and to find out more about the nursery spaces available. Book a visit today and discover the difference this engaging approach can make for your child.
