Curriculum

Montessori nurseries provide a new way of learning to nurture your child. We centre our education around a child-led teaching environment, which is a key philosophy of a Montessori nursery.

This means that children have the freedom to choose their activities and are encouraged to work at a pace that suits them. This child-led environment helps to build the child’s strengths, confidence, self-esteem and harnesses curiosity. This way we are focusing on the individual child’s learning journey ensuring this is bespoke to them.

Along side our Montessori classes, we also offer French lessons to the children in our care. Learning French under the age of five helps promotes cognitive development, enhances problem-solving skills, and boosts creativity. Bilingualism improves memory, focus, and multitasking abilities, fostering cultural awareness and helping children appreciate diversity.

Team

Our nursery manager and amazing team is made up of long standing staff members, some spending up to 20 years within the Early Years sector! We have specially trained members of staff including a SENCO practitioner, a Montessori teacher and a French teacher.

All of our team are highly qualified and we encourage and support all members to do further training to better their knowledge in Early Years education.

Parent Partnerships

We pride ourselves on our strong relationships and bonds that we build with both our children and families. By using our nursery app, we are able to keep in touch with our families so they are kept in the loop of what their child is up to each and everyday.

We are here to support families during challenging times and offer guidance on a range of topics, including behaviour management, toilet training, and more, ensuring you feel confident and supported every step of the way.

Facilities

Our nursery offers exceptional facilities designed to support every aspect of Early Years development. Inside, our beautiful learning playrooms feature carefully selected, high-quality toys and resources that inspire creative play and stimulate young minds.

Our large, well-equipped garden provides plenty of opportunities for outdoor fun, exploration, and active play.

Playrooms

Our Baby Room offers a warm and cosy space where babies can feel safe and comfortable. With age-appropriate resources, including a physical room, a sensory room, and a home corner, we encourage the development of fine motor skills and mental growth in a nurturing environment.

The Toddler Room is designed to support learning and growth, providing a stimulating space with age-appropriate resources. Children enjoy a home corner and a wooden slide with steps, gently encouraging the development of walking, climbing, and exploration in a fun and engaging way.

The Preschool Room is designed to prepare children for their next steps, with age-appropriate resources that foster independent learning. It includes a reading den, a home corner, tuff trays, and a Montessori-inspired classroom, offering a balanced mix of structured learning and creative play to help children feel ready for school.

Garden

We call our garden our ‘Jungle Area,’ a vibrant and fun space designed to encourage outdoor play and exploration. This area includes bikes and scooters, a planting garden where children can grow fruits, vegetables, and flowers, as well as a mud kitchen for messy, imaginative play. The sand tray provides opportunities for sensory fun, while our outdoor role play room sparks creativity and imagination.

Outdoor play offers numerous benefits, including promoting physical development, enhancing social skills, and boosting emotional well-being. It encourages children to explore, engage with nature, and develop a sense of independence and confidence.

Activities

We are proud to offer a unique and diverse range of activities at our nursery which includes French lessons, Montessori classes, Boogie Mites, our bespoke Sow & Grow activity and Yoga sessions.

Community Outings

We believe in the importance of exploring beyond our nursery setting, which is why we ensure our children regularly go on local walks to the park. These outings provide them with the opportunity to experience new environments, encouraging their curiosity and connection with the natural world.
