About Our Nursery
Curriculum
For our Early Years education, we take inspiration from the Hygge and Curiosity Approach; focusing on in the moment planning based on the children’s interests with a slow and steady approach to learning.
We also incorporate Forest School Sessions into our curriculum, which gives children the opportunity to explore, develop their skills and foster a love for great outdoors! Children at nursery Melton Mowbray are guaranteed to receive a varied curriculum that will help them grow.
Team
We have a highly qualified, passionate, and dedicated Early Years team at our Melton Mowbray Nursery. Our experienced Nursery Manager brings 16 years of expertise in the childcare industry, leading a team of long-standing, committed staff whose mission is to provide a seamless and enriching learning journey for every child.
We also have a range of specialist staff members, such as a Qualified Level 3 SENCo practitioner, and many members doing apprenticeships to develop their careers in childcare.
Parent Partnership
Our hallway is dedicated to providing families with helpful tools and resources to use outside of the nursery. This includes a clothes swap section, a tea and coffee station with breakfast bars and fruits for busy families on the go, and a designated area for our families to meet with our team to ask questions and seek advice on Early Years challenges.
Our nursery app keeps communication between our staff and families as seamless as possible. Caregivers receive real-time updates on their child’s education journey, along with photos of fun activities and much more!
We also run regular Parents Evenings for families to gain more in-depth insight into how their child is finding nursery life.

Facilities
Our nurturing nursery, Melton Mowbray has a range of fantastic facilities which provide children with the environment they need for a stimulating learning experience in their Early Years.
Playrooms
We’ve created four well-resourced playrooms where children can explore, learn, and develop their skills.
Our Robins Room is for our youngest babies and the large space is separated into three areas: our physical area, a feeding area and a sleep area.
Our Squirrels Room is for our older babies to young toddler aged children as has free flow into their own garden.
Our Daffodils Room is for our older toddlers, it has its own feature fireplace and free flow to their own garden. We also host rolling lunches here to allow children to carry on playing before and after meals.
Our Preschool Room is located upstairs and consists of four set areas with a loose parts play area, an indoor sandpit, a cosy den and an emotions station.
Garden
Our garden is a huge highlight of our nursery! Each individual age group has their own garden filled with age appropriate, Early Years activities, our large, main garden area is available for all children to use and play together. And we have our yard area where children take part in learning how to grow plants and produce.
As we are a converted coach house, our nursery environment also includes outdoor stables which we use all year round in all weathers! One stable is for our managed risk play, another stable is our art studio, and one stable is a large sand play area which all children enjoy!

Activities
At our Melton Mowbray nursery, we hold a wide range of activities such as Sing & Sign and Boogie Mites to further the Early years education of every child. We also follow core Educational Programmes such as Make & Bake and Sow & Grow every week so each child has something that they are proud of to take home.
Community Outings
As a childcare provider, we see the benefits of taking our children out into the local community. That’s why we take our children to the local park, on nature walks, to feed the ducks, to the market and more! Each time we go out on our adventures, we see our children become more confident and see them learning something new! We’ve created a culture that encourages exploration and building local community connections.
