Kiddi Caru Writtle Read ‘The Gruffalo’

The toddlers absolutely love exploring the story of, ‘The Gruffalo’. The children enjoyed taking part in lots of themed activities, such as creating their own versions of the characters using paint and collage materials. As well as, using shaving foam and other sensory activities to explore ‘owl ice cream’ and ‘scrambled snake’. The little ones particularly liked creating their own ‘Gruffalo scene’ using sand, soil, wooden blocks, natural resources and characters from the story. They have read the story so often, including at home with their families, that they can describe their favourite scenes and animals with simple sentences. We topped off the activity by creating a display board for everyone to see!
