COVID-19 Childcare Update

Dear Parents and Carers

On behalf of everyone in the Kiddi Caru Day Nurseries family we would like to thank you for your support in these unprecedented times. We appreciate the challenges everyone is currently facing and understand that we have many families relying on us to remain open. Last night the Government released their guidance regarding the “Closure of educational settings” and specifically a definitive list of critical workers and vulnerable children.

As previously advised, we look forward to welcoming those children whose parents/carers have completed a self-declaration form from Monday 23 March 2020. For these children, your normal Terms and Conditions will apply.

Sadly, we recognise that many of our children will no longer be able to access childcare at our nurseries. For parents of these children, we have made the decision to suspend our usual Terms and Conditions from April 1 onwards and for the duration of our partial closure. Once we return to full operation, we can confirm that your child’s space at nursery is secure and will be provided on the same terms as before. We believe and hope this action will provide some relief in these challenging times.

As a result, fee demands for so called “non-qualifying” parents will cease from April 1 onwards however, we reserve the right to review this on an ongoing basis. March invoices have been issued and the majority of parents have paid in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. We have already committed to pay our nursery staff in full and all other associated operational costs for the month of March. Therefore we will be unable to offer a refund for the period of closure in March.

Our team behind the scenes at Head Office are busy putting together lots of exciting activities and resources for you to share with your children while you are at home, please keep an eye out on our usual social media channels as well as our website.

I would like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to our amazing Nursery Managers and their teams who are working tirelessly with the children in our care. They are working extremely hard to continue to deliver high standards of care and education to all the children while ensuring a sense of normality, during this most ‘abnormal’ time.

We will of course continue to keep you updated as and when the situation changes and will give you as much notice as possible when we are able to resume full service.

I would like to wish you and your families the very best of health and thank you for your continued support during these uncertain and challenging times.

Kindest regards

Adrian Moore – Chief Executive Officer
