Community Support Allows Kiddi Caru Nursery, Walnut Tree, Milton Keynes Graduation

The Milton Keynes community donated their time and resources to the Kiddi Caru Day Nursery & Preschool in Walnut Tree, Milton Keynes, in order to hold a graduation ceremony for their preschool leavers, just weeks after their nursery building was lost to a local fire.

On the 19^th July, the Kiddi Caru Day Nursery & Preschool, Walnut Tree, Milton Keynes, premises was lost to a fire which started at a neighbouring property. Due to the severe building damage, the nursery children and staff have needed to evacuate the premises for the foreseeable future and find a new location to carry out their day to day activities. These events have caused a massive impact on the availability and quality of the annual graduation ceremony celebrations the nursery holds for their preschool leavers before they start primary school.

With the support of the Milton Keynes community, Kiddi Caru Day Nursery & Preschool were able to continue their graduation ceremony tradition at Wavendon Gate Pavilion. The nursery staff were touched by the number of people who donated their time and services to make this a memorable celebration for the preschool children. Rob Clarkson from Clarkson – Professional DJ & Compere supplied a DJ set for the day, Linda from D’Perfecto Décor who provided balloons and decorations, John Ford from Event Hire MK supplied and worked the bubble machine, Caroline Davies from The Crafty Hoarder crafted medals for the graduating children and Rebecca Campbell from Evie Bakes provided the cake. The children also received a visit from the beloved character, the Gruffalo, courtesy of Katie Warren and Johnny Plumbly. Also showing their support was the BFRS West Ashland Fire Station Broughton Fire Station who provided a fire engine for the children to tour and take photos with.

Without the support of Milton Keynes community, the Kiddi Caru Day Nursery & Preschool in Walnut Tree, Milton Keynes would not be able to hold the nursery graduation ceremony this year. We are extremely grateful for all of the support and generosity that every business has contributed to the day.
