We are delighted to share a look back at our relaunch open morning, which brought together families, children, team members and local community members for a memorable celebration. On Saturday, 29 November, Chingford Forest Day Nursery and Preschool welcomed around 50 families to explore our newly refurbished environment and experience the warm, vibrant atmosphere throughout the morning.
From the moment families arrived, there was a wonderful sense of excitement. Visitors explored our refreshed rooms, met our dedicated team and enjoyed a variety of hands-on activities designed to showcase how our updated spaces inspire curiosity, creativity and confidence in every child.

One of the highlights of the event was the attendance of the Mayor of Waltham Forest, Councillor Tony Bell. Councillor Bell joined us to officially cut the ribbon and celebrate the beginning of this new chapter for our nursery. He also enjoyed a guided tour of the nursery and its gardens, taking the time to learn more about our approach to early education and the important role outdoor learning plays in our daily curriculum. Reflecting on the event, he stated: “I was delighted to attend the opening of Chingford Forest Day Nursery and to visit the wonderful Forest setting, which makes it such an inspiring place for learning. Thank you for inviting me to this event.”
His visit reflected the community- centred values of connection, nature and togetherness that align closely with both the Mayor’s priorities and the Grandir UK ethos. We were proud to demonstrate how these values are woven into the experiences we create for children and families every day.

We are excited to share a selection of photos from the event. These moments highlight the joy and engagement seen across every part of the nursery. Families joined Forest School taster sessions, explored resources in our refreshed learning environments and enjoyed a closer look at the care and creativity that shape the Chingford Forest Day Nursery experience.
The event provided a wonderful opportunity for families to see how our nursery team brings learning to life, both indoors and outdoors, and how we work together to create a welcoming and inspiring place for every child.
The nursery team also had the chance to speak to families during the event, and a few sentiments stood out:
“My child is so happy and settled here, the atmosphere is always so enriching, nurturing and gentle.”
“We love the huge variety of activities. You can tell how thoughtfully everything is designed to support learning through play.”
“We trust Shamima and the whole team completely. The teamwork and positive spirit across the nursery really shines through.”

The relaunch open morning was a wonderful opportunity to showcase our new spaces and celebrate our community. We were thrilled to welcome so many families, both new and familiar, and to share the passion and dedication that drives our team. The happy faces, positive feedback and supportive conversations throughout the day made the event truly special.
We are excited for the future of Chingford Forest Day Nursery and Preschool and look forward to continuing this journey with our families as we move into this new chapter together. We also look forward to welcoming more new families soon.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this event such a success. We cannot wait to welcome you back soon.
