Kensington Place Day Nursery is proud to receive an Ofsted ‘Good’ rating!

The team at Kensington Place Day Nursery & Preschool are thrilled to share that they have received a ‘Good’ rating in their latest Ofsted inspection.

The inspection took place on 22 November 2024, and the nursery achieved ‘Good’ across all areas of inspection, highlighting the team’s dedication to providing exceptional childcare to Early Years children in the area.

Highlights from Kensington Place’s Ofsted Report

‘Children show that they feel happy in the setting and have trusting bonds with staff’, comments the Ofsted inspector. The nursery has a ‘strong focus on helping children to settle in’ as the nursery team recognise that children learn best when they feel emotionally secure. The nursery team prioritises providing parents with photographs and short biographies about their child’s key person and offer parents and children settling in sessions before they are due to start nursery.

One area where the nursery team excels is by regularly observing and assessing the children’s development; ‘They provide targeted support, to help close any gaps in children’s learning,’ comments the Ofsted inspector. The team also consults with parents and works with other professionals to provide the best support for the children in their care. This enables children to make good progress, so they are prepared for school and beyond!

‘The children are out and about with staff each day exploring their local area,’ highlights the Ofsted inspector. These activities help children to discover and feel a part of their community. The nursery also celebrates a wide variety of events throughout the year, such as Diwali and Christmas, helping to introduce children to different cultures and traditions outside of their own.
