Islington Square Day Nursery and Preschool in London are delighted to announce their recent ‘Good’ rating following their latest Ofsted inspection, which took place on 7 January 2025.
The nursery received a ‘Good’ grade across all assessment areas, showcasing the team’s unwavering dedication to delivering high-quality education and care to Early Years children.
Throughout the visit, the inspector was impressed by the strong bonds formed between the nursery staff and children, as well as the children’s ability to express themselves. They commented, “Staff have established strong bonds with the children, who are confident to express their wants and needs. Staff encourage children to be kind to one another and to demonstrate respectful behaviour”.
Additionally, the inspector was particularly impressed by the inclusion of engaging activities that foster children’s development and promote healthy practices. They highlighted how “activities and daily discussions support children well in learning about healthy practices.” Expanding on this, the inspector noted, “For example, staff plan regular cooking activities for children to cook healthy recipes, such as autumn pumpkin energy balls, promoting positive relationships with healthy food.”
The report also praised the staff’s strong understanding and effective delivery of the curriculum. They noted “Leaders have a clear overview of the curriculum and monitor its effectiveness. They support the staff to identify where children may be falling behind in their learning and take action to help them keep up.” This highlights the strong, collaborative support system that is present at Islington Square Day Nursery and Preschool.
“I’m thrilled that the Islington Square Day Nursery and Preschool team have achieved a ‘Good’ Ofsted Rating!
With all their hard work and dedication that goes into providing amazing Early Years care and education, I believe it’s truly deserved. I’m lucky to have such a great team working here.”
