Chiswick House celebrates receiving ‘Good’ in their latest Ofsted inspection!

The team at Chiswick House Day Nursery & Preschool are thrilled to announce that they have achieved ‘Good’ in their last Ofsted inspection, which took place on 15 November 2024.

The nursery scored ‘Good’ across all areas of the inspection, showing the nursery’s true dedication to providing exceptional childcare and early years education.

‘Staff are enthusiastic, kind and caring,’ comments the Ofsted Inspector during their visit. ‘Their nurturing approach supports young children to flourish and promotes children’s emotional security.’

Each day begins with the nursery staff welcoming the children, and parents are given the opportunity to share key information about how their child is doing. This keeps the nursery team in the loop so they can effectively support every child during the day ahead. Throughout the day, the nursery team demonstrated to the inspector how well they know the children in their care. The children at Chiswick House Day Nursery & Preschool do not hesitate to reach out to the nursery staff when they need reassurance and comfort, which is never turned down by the team.

The nursery has a clear curriculum in place and plans a broad range of fun and exciting activities that engage children and follow their interests. The inspector particularly loved seeing the water play activity in action! ‘Children develop their concentration as they spend a great length of time exploring spray bottles filled with water,’ comments the inspector.

Management does a good job of supporting the nursery team. Management has regular, individual meetings with staff to review their work and ensure that they have ample opportunities to develop their skills and knowledge. Alongside this, management provides a range of training courses for staff to improve all their skills. The inspector was especially impressed with the staff members who attended a course on developing children’s communication skills, which has help communication amongst all children at nursery.
