A ‘Good’ Ofsted Rating for Crystal Palace Day Nursery and Preschool

We are delighted to announce that Crystal Palace Day Nursery and Preschool have retained their ‘Good’ rating following their latest Ofsted inspection!

On the 25 October 2024, Crystal Palace Day Nursery achieved ‘Good’ across all areas of their inspection showing their dedication to providing outstanding care to all early year’s children in the setting.

Highlights from Crystal Palace’s Ofsted Report

The Ofsted inspector had some glowing feedback about the nursery, commenting on how well each and every child’s language development is fully supported by key workers and staff. ‘Staff are good role models and speak clearly to children, skilfully introducing new vocabulary. They ask them questions and give children time to think and respond’, notes the inspector. This helps children to develop their communication skills, providing strong foundations for school and beyond.

Partnerships with parents is another key strength of the nursery according to the report. ‘Parent feedback is incredibly positive. They feel well informed about their children’s learning and are supported to continue children’s learning at home,’ notes the report. Parents describe the nursery as ‘a special place’ to be and are happy to see their child run excitedly into the nursery every day!

There was also praise for the nursery management team, noting that they were ‘enthusiastic and ambitious.’ This gave a great sense of the quality of the nursery and the inspector was particularly impressed with how the team identify areas for future improvement. ‘The management team supports strong practice by effective coaching, mentoring and role modelling’ noted the inspector. As a result, there are lots of opportunities to support the children as they progress.
