A ‘Good’ Ofsted Inspection for our Kiddi Caru Day Nursery on Great Park Road, Bristol!

Kiddi Caru Day Nursery & Preschool on Great Park Road in Bristol has proudly received a ‘Good’ rating in its recent Ofsted inspection. Over the past couple of weeks, the entire team and children have been celebrating this fantastic achievement.

On 28 November 2024, Kiddi Caru Great Park Road was rated ‘Good’ across all areas of inspection, reflecting their unwavering commitment to delivering excellent childcare to children in their Early Years.

This is the first Ofsted inspection of Great Park Road since its acquisition by Grandir UK, and the inspector was impressed by the nursery’s progress.

Highlights from Kiddi Caru, Great Park Road’s Ofsted Report

The report highlighted how well the nursery has been supported under new ownership and how its practices and provisions have been enhanced. The inspector commented that ‘staff feel listened to and supported in their roles’ and that ‘senior staff are undertaking leadership training to help them lead their new teams.’

Nurturing care and emotional support

At Kiddi Caru Great Park Road staff ensure children feel happy and comfortable when they attend nursery. They closely follow dietary requirements and support children in managing their emotions, respecting boundaries, and guiding them in learning to play cooperatively.

Engaging learning opportunities

The report also commended the staff for fostering the love of books among children. Staff read stories to the children and the inspector observed that ‘babies love to snuggle in to look at a book with staff.’ The nursery provides a lending library that allows children to borrow books to read at home with their parents. This initiative is popular with families, encouraging a love for reading from an early age.

Clear speech and the use of signs help enhance children’s communication, while a range of age-appropriate activities including yoga and balancing on garden equipment, helps build physical skills and confidence.

Strong parent partnerships

The inspector was pleased with how strong the partnership is between families and the nursery team. Parents commented that they appreciate the use of the Famly app, which provides regular updates about their child’s activities throughout the day. The report also noted that ‘regular conversations are undertaken with parents to help support children’s learning at home’.
