GrandWomen: Celebrating Women All Year, Every Year

With International Women’s Day around the corner, we’ve been reflecting on what it truly means to support and celebrate all women, not just for a day, but every day.

At Grandir UK, inclusivity, flexibility, and empowerment aren’t just buzzwords; they’re the foundation of our culture. That’s why we’re proud to introduce GrandWomen, a campaign that champions women of all identities, backgrounds, and experiences, whether as valued employees, families who trust us with their children, or future generations we are helping to raise.

Empowering women in Early Years and beyond

The Early Years sector has been shaped by pioneering women who dared to think differently. From Maria Montessori, whose revolutionary Montessori Approach still influences how young children learn to modern-day innovators like Lyndsey Hellyn and Stephanie Bennett, the co-founders of The Curiosity Approach. These women have continuously led the way in transforming and continuously redefining what excellence in Early Years care and education looks like.

And today, it’s our own Grandir UK women, our teachers, nursery leaders, apprentices, and support teams, who carry that legacy forward. They’re not just shaping young minds; they’re inspiring the next generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers.

We also recognise that womanhood is not one experience, it is as diverse as the women who define it. Our commitment to inclusion means celebrating all women in all their beautiful diversity.

Why GrandWomen?

We understand that the experiences of women are diverse and unique. Whether it’s a mother trying to juggle her career and childcare, a woman re-joining the workforce or changing career later in life, or an aspiring apprentice looking to gain an Early Years qualification, at Grandir UK, we see you. We’re committed to creating a workplace and community where all women feel valued, supported, and empowered to thrive, in their own unique way.

What to expect from the ‘GrandWomen’ campaign?

Each month will focus on a different aspect of what it means to be a woman and how Grandir UK provides meaningful and impactful support. From showcasing inspiring stories of women within our organisation to highlighting our GrandFlex policy offering flexible working arrangements, this campaign is about real impact, real voices, and real change.

Some areas we’ll explore include:

  • Supporting working parents: Providing families with engaging and nurturing childcare they can rely on.
  • Flexible working (GrandFlex): Making it easier for all working women to balance their work and personal lives with flexible careers that work for them.
  • Diversity and inclusion: Creating an equitable workplace where all women of all backgrounds and experiences, feel supported and seen.
  • Inspiring future generations: Embedding inclusivity into our Early Years curriculum so children grow up seeing themselves as future leaders in a world that values everyone.
  • Career growth and leadership: Encouraging women to take the next step in their career journeys, through mentorship, apprenticeships, and leadership opportunities.

This campaign isn’t just about words, it’s about meaningful action. At Grandir UK we don’t just talk about inclusion—we live it. Whether it’s through our GrandFlex policy, our career development pathways, or the way we nurture confidence and ambition in children, we’re actively working to create a future where every woman feels supported and celebrated. And we want you to be part of it.
