We provide exceptional Early Years education and year-round care. Clerkenwell Mount offers a warm and supportive environment, helping children learn, grow and thrive. Our dedicated team helps build confidence and nurtures each child’s development.
We are proud to have received a “Good” rating from Ofsted highlighting our commitment to ensuring every child feels happy, valued and able to reach their full potential.

Our location
We are situated in the vibrant heart of Clerkenwell, not far from Ironmongers Hall, and easily accessible for working parents via excellent transport links. Our nursery is centrally located and well connected to the city being just a short walk away from Kings Cross Station, Angel Station and Farringdon Station. Nearby paid street parking also offers the convenience of dropping off and picking up your little ones with ease.
About our Clerkenwell Nursery
Team
Our dedicated and highly-qualified team provide a warm, nurturing space where every child can play, learn and grow. Children form strong relationships with their key worker which helps to instil a sense of confidence and security. Our qualified SENCo helps to ensure that children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) receive the tailored support they need to thrive.
Parent Partnership
At Clerkenwell Mount Nursery, we love building strong partnerships with our parents! We use the Famly app to keep you updated on your child’s learning journey and share photos of all their exciting nursery adventures. Throughout the year, we host a variety of fun events which invite you to step into our nursery and enjoy activities with your child. Our lending library is a great way to enjoy shared reading experiences, and our donation box is here for you to contribute or take items as you need, helping us create a wonderful community spirit.
Facilities
Our Clerkenwell Mount Nursery is housed in a charming Grade II listed building which was created by converting two adjoining townhouses into a complete site. With spacious rooms, a lovely garden and tasty, nutritious food, we provide a nurturing environment where children feel confident and inspired to learn. Our experienced teachers use these thoughtfully designed spaces to encourage growth and exploration, ensuring each child develops essential skills in a warm and welcoming setting.
Playrooms
At our Clerkenwell nursery, each age group has a dedicated room designed to support their development, independence, and early education. Each room is equipped with age-appropriate resources and engaging activities, including role play and creative areas. On the first floor, our cosy baby room features a sensory area and is packed with toys which ignite curiosity. Located on the top floor, our toddler room has been thoughtfully designed to encourage their developing skills. Lastly, we have our preschool room where the focus is on preparing older children for the exciting transition to school.
Garden
Our garden area is a vibrant and welcoming space where children can build their social skills, take part in fun outdoor activities with their friends and connect with the beautiful environment. A mud kitchen, small gardening area and various play equipment all inspire learning and discovery, and are great for aiding in children’s physical development and positive mental health. Children have free-flow access to the garden meaning that outdoor learning and exploration can take place whenever they like.
Activities
Play is an incredibly important part of a young child’s day, helping them to learn all about the colourful world around them. Our playrooms are filled with high-quality resources which stimulate children’s natural curiosity and inspire imagination and creativity. As part of our innovative curriculum, we also offer more structured activities such as Boogie Mites, yoga and language sessions.
Community Outings
Children enjoy regular outings into the Clerkenwell area to visit nearby parks, local libraries and the shops. These exciting adventures allow children to explore and connect with the wider community, engaging in hands-on experiences and building real world knowledge.
